Milton can actually take off and fly when he wants to.

I don't think he likes to scramble much at all though and he tends to run out of bounds to avoid contact.

I think he's doing that because he knows he has a good chance at winning the NFL lottery soon.

I would love to see him take off and truck defenders Tebow style though. He's definitely big and athletic enough to do it and very strong.

This is what I was getting at and was going to initially say. I think a few teams may have overachieved last season. UT may be one of those but it's yet to be seen. LSU, USCe are two more, I hope I'm wrong on LSU.

To me there is only ONE team that's basically a lock to improve over lastbyear and everyone else is a crap shoot.

We overachieved more than any other team with a schedule remotely close to what we played. Our roster was in no way top 10 roster and still isn't. That said, Heupel's teams have tended to overachieve on offense everywhere he's coached so I'm hopeful that offense stays relatively great. The one question mark that's starting to appear is whether or not our OL will have issues given the news on Cooper Mays.

If he's not at center it changes the entire OL. If he does get back as expected then the OL should be fine barring more injuries. Our skills players are there for the offense to be just as hard to handle as last year but offense never goes anywhere if the OL fails.

Worse for UGA if total yards is the metric.

Lots of sitting on the ball in the second half of blowouts with the upcoming schedule.

You are probably right.

But I think UGA will want to run the full offense against several teams... especially with backups.

We are trying to beat out negative recruiting about our WRs.

Looks like you're the only dufus on this thread that has commented on another team...does that send some kind of message to you? That this thread was actually one where the adults were talking and not attacking each other like the usually goofball juveniles on this forum.
Gees man...you're an embarrassment.

Hmmm... I can honestly say I'm not sure wtf you're talking about. At the time that person posted, they were the only Florida fan that had chimed in (I think) and they didn't give a simple "better" or "worse" followed by a brief description. It's called pussy footing around.

Thats all. Are we clear now or should I dumb it down some more?

Moving from a true dual threat QB to a passing QB will change reads but not greatly affect play calling.

I want to learn more about this idea of yours, but you never did explain this one in more detail. Are you saying Hooker had less reads, or different reads, because he can run?

Offensive expectations at Kentucky are high this year now that we've replaced Scang with Coen. You all saw how prolific Coen's O was 2 yrs ago. Add in ACC POTY Leary, +1K rusher Davis, an improved OL, and Key and Brown....things are looking positive in Lexington.

As a Vols fan I don’t think we will be as good this year.
We lost a lot of talent and Milton could be hot or not so hot. I think he allows his nerves to cause mistakes.
Over throws not tucking and running when no one is open.
I was at the Vandy game last year I just didn’t think he is where he should be at by now. I could be wrong.

Yes.

Because to be statistically exactly the same would be almost impossible.

I really think we will be better or worse.

Silly prediction.

What people don't seem to remember is UGA was setting up their offense for this season. Last year was the "down year". We have only one underclassmen in our starting lineup on offense, LT Earnest Greene (RS Frosh). He's backed up by a RS Junior but beat him out.

Adding RaRa Thomas and Dom Lovett has improved the WR room significantly. Both of our RB's are seniors (the lead back averaged 7 YPC last season playing through injury). We have a RS Junior 4-star QB recruit coming in as the expected QB starter who had a 186 QB rating in relief last year.

The OL looks to be the best in college football.

UGA's offense is going to set school records this season.

You just received the first ever Kentucky upvote of a Vol post ever. Cherish it. Thank you for being honest about Milton. The rest of us see it. We know it. But every Vol on here just shite posts like he's the second coming of Christ. He's got issues.

I love Floridas run game but I have a hard time thinking they will be better offensively with Mertz under center.

I disagree, less turnovers, better completion %. Good running backs, improved receivers, o-line potentially better. Hopefully better play calling with a consistent QB.

I'm gonna say worse, but not as much as you'd think. I think the new offense will be better than people are forecasting, but will take a few games to get in motion.
