Or is this quote uncharacteristic for him?
IF that's what motivates him to play like a bad arse, then so be it.

It sounds more like he’s trying to overcompensate after Brock bowers emasculated him and the rest of that soft Bama defense in Indy

A dude from the 80’s says it and your old arse probably uses it as an example of how guys back in the day were tougher and meaner than today

Brady might be the biggest shite-talker in football. He just keeps it all on the field.

WTH, Tom Brady?

Did anyone ever ask Nolan Ryan what drove him, pushed him and motivated him personally to get through a MLB season? What was his answer way back ions ago?

Context is still everything though. This response was from a question about “hateful competitors” that Saban referenced a couple weeks ago. Many of the beat reporters have been asking players about this since. So Will Anderson didn’t just randomly state this. He answered a question relative to it. About his personal motivation.

Doesn't matter. It hurt Hugh McElroy's delicate sensibilities so Will Anderson is clearly an arse.

There seems to be a lot of people passing judgement on a player that NEEDS to have an edge while on the field. That player is infinitely more plentiful than the cerebral player who can play quiet and still excel, a la a Barry Sanders style player.

Whatever works for the individual player.

Yea I mean, I can't imagine there are a lot of successful edge rushers/defensive linemen types who don't have some sort of hateful edge that they manipulate.

In the future I'm guessing somebody will nicely tell Will it's probably best to just say "I try to find ways to keep my motivation high" instead of honestly blurting it all out, though

You should really stop relying on WBZ sports for your stats.

Why are you seething?

I said a player for your team is "super scary" and you start lashing out at me and The #1 Source.

"Hey everyone, George thinks Will Anderson is a sweetheart vs G5 teams. He is caring and really treats them well. Not scary at all."

Is that better you empty headed swine?
