They have those rose colored glasses on. Honestly, and it’s very cliche and not something I wanted in the slightest, but it is probably better we lost this game.

First conference game on the road against a top 10 team with all of CFB world knowing the animosity Ole Miss harbors for LSU in general, then add Kiffin on top of that! The optics look good because of the comeback and general consensus that LSU had the opportunities after everything went wrong in the first half, they just failed to convert. As evidenced by LSU still being a top 10 ranked team.

At least we’re forced to face reality that things need to get fixed to win games like this. Ole Miss on the other hand is just munching up that “rat poison” from every student, faculty member, and citizen of the city of Oxford.

Gone are the days of having to completely out recruit blue bloods for great talent. OM is willing to spend money to build a roster. Like it or not, until proven otherwise, OM is at the very least on even plane with LSU, if not higher.

Not right now. The thing is LSU’s problems are pretty fixable. And teams do get better as the season progresses. After watching our 2023 defense and all 3 of your games yours are not.

Our OL owned your DL in the second half. Your OL couldn’t handle a blitz and Chambliss becomes a much more ineffective passer when he’s pressured.

If Leavitt makes a few more accurate throws it’s right there on tape we win by 10-14 points. Timing and reps can help with Leavitt’s accuracy though.

Your problems run much deeper. Like lack of elite talent to compete with the elite teams short of having everything skewed in your favor and a QB who’s been in college so long Van Wilder is cracking jokes on him!
