A ZT is more compact and maneuverable than a tractor. I have both, my personal preference on my property is to use the ZT only thing I mow with the tractor is trails. I guess it comes down to personal preference and how land is laid out. If i could only have one or the other I'd have to got with the tractor for the reasons you stated above it's more versatile.

That's weird I don't have that issue. Do you have the kawasaki or kohler. I have Kohler that Kawasaki definitely has more arse to it.

I dealt with this as well on a base ZT. There are adjustment bolts on each side on the levers yoou can get alot of the slop out. Mine didn't track straight what so ever when I bought it.

The main deal you will notice with a higher end mower for your application is comfort. I have a 42in Bad Boy MZ that I side hustled with for about 5 years machine made me alot of money and it was 3k new. I've had zero issues to speak of and I don't baby it. I'm on 24 acres mowing about 7 and a Husqavarna Z454 came with the property does well and alot more comfortable than the base bad boy. I've been around alot of these machines and they are all good. I'm of the opinion that Gravely is probably best bang for buck but the main deciding factor on brand for me would be the dealer that's easiest to deal with within your home range.

I totally agree. Skenes pitch mix is totally different this year and that could be for longevity purposes this will take some time to adjust to for him. That being said spin rates are down which could point to injury. Wish Skenes the best.
