I hate to be the pessimist, but I can definitely see us winning the SEC and looking unbeatable only to have COVID take away the playoffs....and then half our defense leaves for the NFL. That would be the most 1980 thing ever.

I think we’ll know Saturday (obvious statement). But win or lose I think we’ll have a good idea of the kind of team UGA is. More than likely they’ll get two shots at Bama this year

It’d be the most fitting. Because instead of everyone saying 1980 they’d just say COVID title or asterisk. It’d kind of be perfect actually.

They’re not beating Clemson or Ohio state with their QB situation and both of those teams with great defenses.

Don’t think that’s absolutely necessary. Win 1/2 and handle business otherwise, then the playoffs should still be very much in play.
Imagine Alabama wins in regular season, Georgia wins against Bama in SECCG, Georgia gets 2 seed in playoffs, Bama gets 4 seed. Both win. Face each other for a 3rd time in the NC
