Updated OP: Lane is out because his career is decidedly in an upward trajectory right now. Too expensive to offset the buyout. Jerry is also out... can't really hire dude bro to work from jail. Let's keep this realistic... all of the guys I have listed I believe Auburn *could* hire, and on the cheap.

I'm not sure that Houston Dale Nutt would be interested in working at bargain basement prices.
Outside of Greg Schiano in that list, most of those guys would likely take the job for 100k per annum... as it simply changes the narrative... If Auburn can outrun the buyout for a couple of seasons, they can renegotiate the contracts and be in a good place.

Two of the three happened after they were hired and had zero character concerns when brought on. The third had a barbecue, and was wanted badly by fans of a certain team in this state.
With that said, hell no I wouldn’t want that staff... the defense would suck.
