Is there a term for what happened in basketball yesterday?

Many high ranked teams were either close to being upset or were. Is this a normal occurrence in a BB year? I am glad we weren’t on the Arizona end of things
I appreciate Mizzou giving us the most competitive match yet! Y’all will make some noise.

Auburn was suffering from the double hangover. Having to come off of a ridiculously hyped game against UK and hearing/reading about how great they were with the shiny new #1 ranking. It is a trite and overused saying, but a classic trap game on the road, especially for a program like Auburn and a team like this one with so few long term vets in the program (2 of which who could not hit the ocean from a boat last night). If there are bright spots, it was a win, and it was a win with the team's best overall player having his worst game of the year.
Didn't watch the UK game until the end. I would say hangover effect there, too, but I understand UK got up big and then let MSU come back late to ty. MSU also had a significant injury outage (and the guy who would be opposite UK's best player), so it was a surprise to see a game that close in Rupp. MSU has a couple of really, really good players that are getting almost zero press.
That was Bam's second Q3 loss. They have the funkiest of funky NET resumes. Hard to understand how a team can be that all over the map, except that it proves how important D is in basketball, I guess.
No idea how the UCLA/AZ game went down. That was AZ's first game against a ranked team in a month (UTn), also a loss. I'm thinking maybe they are a wee bit overrated.

it's called basketball.
If you watched the games you would be hard pressed to call what we saw called “basketball”

Exactly....not to mention Okl. is coming in this weekend. I was very concerned with this game.
Our bunch will drop a game or two. I think it will be a good thing.

It was just on the road. It is so hard to win on the road in that sport.

You would’ve thought the Missouri student section was in the Final Four. Every seat full and loud throughout.

They came out to see Mizzou.

Called a Tuesday weekday game. Always have weird results with disinteresting matchups with midweek games

No. We won’t. We’re 2-5 in conference.

Auburn and Duke won both their games by a combined 3 points (I'm pretty sure both were double-digit favorites).
Me, well I was focused on Texas destroying TCU in front of their record crowd yesterday (which included almost half of the entire student body because all classes were cancelled on campus in order for the students to make the game

As that one coach calls it, "rat poison."

Washington was also out.
And we have Kansas this weekend. That was pretty much a textbook trap game.
