I have lived my entire life in Texas as did my parents and my grandparents. I have never heard a native Texan use the word "plebe". The only time I have ever heard the term plebe used is for freshmen at the military academies.

That’s crazy if you truly believe Texas will never win another natty in a big 3 sport. Texas is the state school of TEXAS. They have a TONS of athletes in ALL sports. Hell, Saban and LSU have made a living poaching their best athletes over the last 20 years. As for money, I would venture to guess they have just as much if not more than A&M with crazy arse boosters willing to light it on fire for a championship. I don’t like Texas and hope they don’t win another one, but I’m not naive enough to believe they’ll NEVER win another one.

I hate to agree with this aggy, but growing up in Texas, I never heard a man called a “plebe” either… We sure never called y’all’s jizz jar corps guys “plebes”… maybe Mt. Vernon grew up somewhere like Maryland where the U.S. Naval Academy is located, before moving to hot arse Texas, as he now seems to know a little something about the state…

We’ve done a hell of a lot better in the SEC than we have in the Big 12 the last 10 years. Either the SEC is overrated or we’re pretty damned good, I’ll let you decide.

Lol, if you happen to beat Murray State and get past Duke next weekend, there's an excellent chance you'll find yourselves playing UTSA in your first game in Omaha. Will be interesting to see what happens then. I think UTSA could beat anyone n the SEC except Arkansas.
