Matter of fact...even the one they claim in 1960 wasnt from the ap or coaches poll. Those were the 2 major wire polls back then that the ncaa recognized. So any little chickenshit formula or poll could name and crown a national champion (im sure there was no bias involved or anything too, lol). It was before sec sports integration as well. Alot has changed since then. Ole miss has ZERO legitimate and consensus national titles in football. Just like they have ZERO sec west titles...however, they claim 3 national titles and claim 1 sec west title (LSU beat them at their little hs stadium and went on to play in ATL). Ole Miss is a joke. I saw their walk of champions sign and thought that was where LSU walked through to go to the stadium.

The ncaa actually has a name for teams like ole miss who claimed titles that weren't recognized by the ncaa and still claimed them anyway...they're called "MNCs" for Mythical National Champions. That's some funny shite but it's true.

So, in short, ole miss' Mythical NCs exist as much as mythical creatures like the unicorn and bigfoot exist...they dont.

The one where OM went undefeated and the 2 loss Minnesota got the AP nod?

Liberal media denied OM the titles, look it up.

IN short, you can deny OM a title and go eat shite with Joe Biden or gives us at least one and drink a beer with Donald.

Since Ole Miss hasn't won their conference in over 60 years, I'm gonna go with "no."

You do realize that if you had handed James Meredith a helmet, some shoulder pads and a pair of cleats when the libs finally forced you to enroll him...\

You'd have about 10 legit championships by now.

People forget that the media hated the SEC up until recently. It was a West Coast Midwest fanboy collective look what they did to Peyton Manning. The dude was the CLEAR Heisman winner, and they robbed him.

Ole Miss' all-time bowl record stands at 25-15 (26-15 before vacations). The Rebels rank second in the SEC and tied for fourth in the NCAA in bowl win percentage at . 625. Look em up Sooner. Only Bama has more Sugar Bowls.

Then ya have the Billy Cannon year, OM allowed 2.5 pts a game. Probably the greatest defensive team in the history of the SEC.

In short the media was not giving OM a title in the 60's regardless of what happened on the field because of what was happening off the field.

Save that Mythical bs for your mid night talks with your liberal pals.

No, they don't. Just like a man who "claims" to be a woman, doesn't make it true.

NCAA National Champions (Football)
1959 - Syracuse
1960 - Minnesota
1962 - Southern California

NCAA says otherwise

You may not like it but there were other legit polls back then other than the AP.

Ole Miss would consistently win the ACC

I don't know about "consistently," but we would be contenders, if not champions, in 2021, 2023, and 2024. Before that, you gotta go back a ways to find some more good seasons.
