Is LSU the best 8-3 team in the history of organized sports?

Jordan's Bulls started the season 8-3 in one of their championship years. I was on a rec league softball team that started 8-3 and we ended up mercy ruling everybody in the playoffs. There have been some great 8-3 teams in the history of organized sports, but 2023 LSU football takes a back seat to none of them. GREAT team!

What about the 86 Celtics? them to. 100% no way any of the Taiwanese Little League Baseball teams who according to Bill "Spaceman " Lee of the 75 Red Sox who were the only teams he saw better than the 75 Reds. Spaceman also mentioned the 69 USC Trojans but hell we can take them.

1992 Tennessee is my homer pick. Lost 2 games by 1 point each (when Johnny Majors came back from open heart surgery too early). Lost the other game by 7 (to eventual NC Bama). So, that's 3 losses by a total of 9 points. All they needed was Fulmer to stick the knife in Majors' back to complete the 9-3 season. Finished #12 in the AP.
