Oklahoma has not won a title in about 20-25 years but they certainly have won a lot of games. They have been in the title picture. The question is can Oklahoma do it while they are playing in the Sec.

Depends on your criteria.

As much as I tease the LSU faithful, I have to say they have an incredible fan base. Games at Tiger Stadium are amazing and in the hands of the right coaching staff, provides great differentiation. There at the top in this category. 9 is too low. They have top 3-5 potential in the right hands.

Your list has LSU above Bama. It is therefore garbage. Nobody in their right mind thinks that the LSU job is above Bama. It just isn't. Job's not... program's not...

That list is terrible.

I’m pretty sure the fact that Les Miles and Ed Orgeron could win national championships at LSU automatically qualifies the job as a Top 5
I mean you don’t even have to speak well enough to be understood to qualify. LOL

Maybe for the state of Lousyanna.

I’d add Michigan and Oklahoma. LSU is probably on the list too tbh. If they’re not tier one then they’re is a close second category with Miami, FSU and Tennessee.

Unfortunately yes they are. The have money, fans and history of NC titles and recent ones. Second most players in the NFL, and a feeding ground of talent.
They’re more top 5 than Texas or USC

Over any 5-year sample of coaching changes, these guys come up with about 30 jobs that are “Top 5”.
Fool’s gold.

Miami literally stole Oregon’s coach, why does everyone have Oregon so high? That state sucks for talent

Florida state also stole Oregon’s coach
They’ve got a resources advantage but they are at a big disadvantage in every other metric. Most notably location.
