Alabama beat LSU 24-10 and 29-0 in the two seasons after Kiffin left for FAU.

Kirby is the best defensive coach in football. What exactly is Lane going to tell him he doesn’t already know from the last 3 times playing ole miss?

You have started a lot of threads about Ole Miss lately. It has been your favorite topic of conversation.

But he’ll be the first to tell you that Ole Miss fans are obsessed with LSU.

Lane is insane but what is he gonna do to sabotage a game that he’s not coaching in? He’s gonna have to play Kirby throughout his LSU tenure at some point. I doubt he likes Kirby enough to help him out

Kiffin is about Kiffin. No doubt he can run an offense. But he took no time between his yoga sessions and figuring out how to leave and coach the playoffs at the same time

There was never any complaints when he was your head coach or when your fanbase said he wasn’t leaving.

“That son of a bitch,” Saban said of Kiffin to the agent, according to a review of the book. “I’m going to fire you, Jimmy, for ever talking me into hiring that narcissistic prick.

Is this from an anonymous source with knowledge of the situation or a direct quote?

Hard not to to doubt the veracity of the comment considering Sexton still represents the two of them and Nick’s involvement getting Lane to LSU.

Kiffin is shady

How is Kiffin "shady"?

Please discuss all the false narratives about Kiffin, including the most recent harangue by the disingenuous sports media.

I recently read that the Ole Miss football leadership council voted 9-3 to have him coach through the playoffs, contradicting the lies by the Ole Miss AD.

You continue your holier than thou Notre Dame bullshite.

To be fair, that was nearly a decade ago. A lot of water under the bridge since then.

The fact that so many people from various teams are actually entertaining the possibility of this type of behavior says a lot.

Maybe Lane will advise Kirby about how to avoid getting run off of the road on the way to he Sugar Bowl.

It’s apparently a direct quote cited from a book that hasn't been refuted by anyone involved. It’s also supported by all the staffers and assistants who have been quoted related to the blowups that were going on during that period.

And as was mentioned yesterday they’ve clearly put some of this to bed, but I’ll just once again remind everyone that when Saban retired Sark supposedly got a call to gauge interest but Kiffin didn’t and that was barely two years ago.

The situation when LK left Tuscaloosa between him, the school, the donors and Saban was nuclear and many still blame him and the chaos he left during that playoff run for costing Bama a NC against Clemson. Saban wasn’t out there vouching for Lane getting other jobs until LSU came open which I find interesting on a number of levels.

The LK histrionics when OM played Bama under Saban wasn’t manufactured, those two F’ing hated each other for awhile.

Everything they say about the guy is true. He is absolutely an offensive genius. It’s also true that at least while he was in Tuscaloosa (and in Knoxville too according to people I trust) was 100% a narcissistic womanizing drunk trainwreck with a bad work ethic and toxic attitude.

The question has always been is he smart enough at a given moment to overcome his toxic character flaws long enough to win and for how long because it’s never a static situation.

If you ever dated a really pretty extremely narcissistic woman that’s what you’re getting with him, good and bad.

Players have come out on social media and have said otherwise and called Lane out for lying, but don't let that stop you from your confirmation bias...
