Is Josh Heupel simply a morbidly obese Dan Mullen?

- Second year won 11 games including a Orange Bowl win over an ACC team

- Considered an offensive “genius” and qb guru despite accidentally playing their “star” qb (Mullen played franks over Trask, Heupel played Milton over hooker initially)

- Both can’t beat Georgia and Kirby

Dan Mullen fell apart quick after his peak second season.

Is Heupel next?

Mullen never beat UGA while he was at Florida?

Heupel is a good coach. He turned Tennessee around quick.

I wish Heupel was another Mullen - Kentucky needs all the help they can get. But I don't think he is. They looked too good against Clemson - with another QB.

So did Dan Mullen at Florida

Went from a 4 win team in 2017 to a 10 win in 2018 and 11
Wins in 2019

In fact his turnaround could be more impressive for the first two years

This isn’t Trevor Lawrence’s Clemson

They are a shadow of what they were

Mid-tier ACC team

Heupel is vastly superior to Mullen.

Also, coaches start the wrong QB all the time. It’s not a science and it’s difficult to pick the right QB. Your Current QB leading you to back to back titles was 4th string you dipshit lmao.

Not to mention he started Justin Fields - a Heisman finalist and current NFL starter (although not a great one) over Jake Fromm - a kid who is fighting for his life to stay on a practice squad and will be selling insurance in 2024.

Correct

And you’re right about Kirby

But no one considers Kirby a qb guru or offensive mastermind

They do Mullen and Huepel

No he is not

Mullen is a top notch coach

He got Miss state to #1

His main problem was he couldn’t compete with Kirby

No coach can, not even Saban any more

Mullen is a vastly superior to Heupel.

It’s not Mullen’s fault that Florida is a dead program with a terrible AD (the idiot hired sun belt billy) and a UAA that sabotages the mens athletic programs.

A great coach like Mullen can overcome only so much, and a dead program like Florida (plus trying to keep up with Kirby) is impossible even for a guy like Dan Mullen

Kirby is a cheeseburger away from Heupel (lately he looks bigger). Worse though is that he chooses that haircut.

He makes up for the weight difference with the National Championship ring (soon to be RingS) on his finger.

No. We have a generational talent that is now on campus at QB in Nico - this will not be a 1 or 2 year wonder. We coming puppy dawgs - see you in Neyland next season so you can get the Bama treatment we gave them this season
