Can't speak to internal personnel decisions. Wasn't there. But I did watch the football dude. The man was unstoppable in college. Auburn won with one other top player. Unprecedented... Not even a great coach or system dude.
Give the devil his due. If Joey wins the Natty then let's revisit this. We start the hardest 2 weeks of our schedule tomorrow. We beat these 2 teams and Joey will be talked about like Cam

I would take all of them above Burrow...only 2 are NFL players and only 1, Dak is a starter.

To #’s 1 and 3, sure. But a Heisman? Are you joking? That award often goes to someone nt in the top 20 players in college.
They gave it Derrick Henry and Gino Torretta, and that’s just two off the top of my head. About every third year they get it right, such as for Cam Newton and Tebow, but damn they’ve picked some mediocre players.

It's a troll thread, but the SEC in 2010 was a fricking monster.
Good chance 2010 Alabama and LSU teams would handily beat their 2019 counterparts. Those defenses were smothering and their 2019 offenses aren't good enough to overcome getting punched every play.
Petrino was still at Arkansas and rolling nerds.
Another factor is the targeting rule came into full effect in 2013- if Burrow tried to walk up the field in 2010 using the middle as much as he does now, one of his receivers would probably die at some point.
