No, JJ got the start. Lee played, though.

No. There rumors he got sat because he skipped class.

The reality is probably that Les just likes JJ more.

The more I think about it the whole game was weird offensivly. JJ didn't run the ball and J Lee did. Everything was in reverse. I am starting to think Les was fricking with us or was curious to see how JJ would fare in this type of set

Les was setting up other teams. For example JL ran and option and scrambled for a 15 yard run. JJ was throwing the ball all over the field. Les is "very calculated" as the announcers were stating last night. Typical Les.

I think LSU needs Lee against the hawgs and the dawgs. Hope Miles doesn't mess up Lee's head.

it was pretty clear to me that Miles wanted to get JJ reps throwing the ball which he hasn't had all season. the announcers were talking about how never in the history of football has an undefeated national championship team had a qb change during the season....classic Les I'll trust the mad hatter on this one. We are a two QB team plain and simple...that's the way he wants it

especially if you are LSUs opponent. He had those guys working on weaknesses is the point. He still has some things that he hasn't shown IMO. So giving JJ to make those long throws downfield deep last night on first down wouldn't make Arky or Ole Miss think and prepare for it? Or JL running the option well? So far all you guys have seen is JJ run and JL sit in the pocket and pass. Every now and then JJ will throw short. However, as you may recall towards the end of last season, JJ was throwing the ball deep with pretty good effeciency.
Les seems to know what he is doing now. If he can win by playing conservatively, then he will. If he needs tricks, he will use them at the right time. If he sees an opportunity to win with 1 QB, he will. it is about the team for him and the flow of the game that dictates who is playing and what is called. maybe next season, we will become more traditional (1 QB). Until then, we are where we are and hey, who can argue with the results. With all of the "practice, his team won by 30. Not shabby.

I understand working on weak parts of your game against a weak team, but not starting Lee. How much did Lee play?

If LSU goes back to last years QB rotation, they will either lose to Arky or have the game be way closer than needed. Offense is completely different with JJ at the helm.

He only played one full series. The second one was just to run out the clock!

I was thinking maybe so ... until he ran the option a few times and scrambled for a first down during the drive he ran.
