Yes. The paradox is that Chest would only play 10 minutes a game on any team that could afford to pay him $1 million. So they would never pay that.

One guy to look out for is Ben McCollum of Drake. A caveat is it's his first year there (they are 21-2). But McCollum is only 43 and he won 4 national championships at the D2 level before Drake. Risky, but lots of upside.

There is 0 chance McMahon is back next year. At some point the on-court product is so bad that there is no choice.

The best bet is to get someone with the trajectory of Fred Hoiberg. Successful at Iowa State, went to the Bulls and got fired like everyone does in the NBA, and then took the Nebraska job. Nebraska, like Ole Miss, is horrendous basketball program yet is now making NCAA tournaments.

Only reason is because the Giants actually drafted really well in 2024
