Well, that's that, folks.

One chapter ends and another begins. Here’s to a bright future, in 2026 and beyond!

Oh my god, it was there! Sigh.
Trey'Dez wasn't letting that play fail, ha.
Damn. That was a really impressive throw.
This is just noise.

Lane has barely slept, putting the work in, since he's been here. I'm unconcerned about his commitment to winning here.
We need a turnover in the worst way.

Hey, we scored more than 25 against an FBS opponent. Mission accomplished!
Yes, I do believe I enjoyed that.

What a start!

As a relatively neutral observer, this game was a pleasure to watch. Sloppy, at times, but the decisive plays and huge emotional swings won me over.

It may have been the loathsome Tide, but I can't help but appreciate watching a team pick themselves up off the mat and fight their way to a road victory - in the playoffs, no less.

Congrats to Bama fans.

So Ole Miss is going full LSU revenge tour.

It'll serve as a further reminder of the difference between us.

Their efforts are/were appreciated, but LSU wasn't built by any of the men being targeted. We'll carry on being an elite program, something Ole Miss will continue to aspire to.
Well, I’m even more glad the Texans took care of business today; the rest of the league did us few favors, but at least the Philip Rivers’ Colts lost.
An inauspicious beginning to bowl season, to say the least.
They picked a hell of a time to create a Mountain West vs. Pac-12 bowl game, didn't they?

Indeed.

Congrats to him, his family, and Hoosiers everywhere. They're all easy to root for.
Honestly, I was kind of shocked this game was happening so soon.

Is this something besides him looking for an NFL job?

I didn’t care enough to look too deeply into it, but I gathered it was questionable conduct that was, supposedly, too much for those in charge to bear.
And here I thought things were finally starting to settle down. How foolish of me.

All that’s seemingly remaining is for those Sark rumors to resurface, or did those become folklore the moment Texas swallowed A&M’s soul?
It got ugly, for a while, but the Texans did their part to bring the Chiefs’ era of dominance to an unceremonious end. I am a happy fan.

ETA: Regardless of how the rest of the season plays out, I will always cherish this truly special defense.

The offense has shown signs of growth, but continues to have its periods of relative non-existence. Even when things are going well, we manage to make it far more difficult than it needs to be.

For now, though, the dream remains alive, and that’s good enough for me.
For a change, I have full trust in our head coach to properly evaluate this possibility. If Lane sees potential, I'm sure it'll be in the cards.
Hopefully, this is merely Notre Dame throwing a fit, rather than the beginning of a trend.

Fortunately, for this year, it feels more like the latter; but as someone who grew up loving and appreciating the difference between college football and the professional game, the death of bowl season would be yet another disheartening domino to fall.
