My God LSU was coming off a Loss to UF and then came out and played an absolute beast game against UGA. From coaching to players it was a brilliant game by LSU...

for UGA it was 1 fricking game. Lets see how the season shakes out before we call us frauds. Lets see if we make the changes and mature in the way we can as we have the talent to do so.

you all have seen first hand how teams can turn shite around. Lets see what happens. We as fans are hopeful, but cautious as well.

I think most people figured Georgia would not be quite as good this year so I don't see what the scream is all about.
Maybe it was the inflated preseason ranking which was way too optimistic. This team has some growing to do before they will be ready to contend for a natty again.

You have to be able to put up the illusion of being something to be a fraud

Georgia is a 'good' team and I expect them to finish 10-2 which is a very solid season after what they lost. But, too much stock was put into 'last year' which is meaningless for this year. I think Georgia benefited greatly last year from:

A horrible SEC East
A lot of Mark Richt recruited Seniors.

For all we know Georgia could win out. Who knows? It is why we play the games.

I don't think they are a fraud, but I do wish I had bookmarked the Georgia thread calling out LSU, Auburn, and A&M "always" talking about how weak the East is, when this game gives the complaints merit

No, they are not a fraud, they are very talented, still not sure about Kirby being a very good Xs and Os coach. They have more talent than UF so that will tell a lot in a couple of weeks.

Definitely overrated. People seem to think that just because Smart coached under Saban that UGA is just going to reload every year. There's a reason Saban is Saban and everyone else... isn't.

No they are not a fraud. They will likely win out in the regular season and finish in the top 10. They need to get back to what makes them successful. Commit to running the ball, and continue to develop as a defense.

Edit: I didn't think they were better than Bama, Ohio State or Clemson prior to this game. They were given the benefit of the doubt that the D would be as good as last year, despite replacing a lot of experienced talent.

That's gross and I can't keep seeing this over and over again more than the 100 times I've already looked at.

We actually agree on something. Here’s the problem, every team is compared to Bama. That’s unfair, especially for a team made up of 70% freshman and sophomores. UGA is one of the youngest teams in the country, so the potential is there.

The media pumped us up to #2. I think most UGA fans saw some major holes in this team. I thought 10-2 was the most likely scenario this year, with 11-1 being best case. I think UGA loses another but I wouldn’t characterize this team as a fraud. They’re just not in the same zip code as Bama. That’s okay, because no one is.

I know some UGA fans are still melting but we got hammered by a damn good football team. It’s up to Kirby where the Dawgs go from here. Will he remain loyal to Fromm or prepare Fields for next year? We’re about to find out.

To be fair LSU went through this exact same cycle with the loss to UF.

This was to be expected

He has 2 weeks to prepare and rep Fields to be the starter in Jacksonville. You would think with being with Saban so long and seeing what happened in the NC Game last year Kirby would have learned a lesson or two.

I have no clue what is best for you guys Fromm or Fields. I just wonder why on earth Kirby wouldn't at least give Fields a series against LSU to try to light a spark. What would it have hurt at that point? Fromm was clearly off his game. Maybe he will start Fromm against Florida but on a short leash and give Fields a shot with the whole playbook and see what he can do?

No, UGA will be fine.
Kirby got cute trying to dispel the "where opponents dreams come die" Milesism, and woke the sleeping dragon.
Dumbest thing I've seen in TS since Curley Hallman.

Fromm had a bad day.
Real bad.

...and LSU is legit, people.
