Burrow doesn’t wear heels, so...

I don't think Cam Newton had one teammate on the 2010 team that gained a single yard in the NFL.
It’s why this question is silly.
Of course Burrow is a better passer. He might be the best passing QB of all time.
But in general “better”? Could Burrow replicate what Newton did in 2010? I don’t think so. Cam still holds the record for most rushing yards by a QB in a single season and had over 50 TDs total. He accomplished that without having a single NFL player on offense with him. Burrow is throwing to all-world receiver talent.

Burrow is amazing. He is greatly benefitting from his system and the talent around him.
Cam could have lined up in any formation and dominated. Cam >>>> every qb ever

No, but neither could Cam without that Auburn defense that year.
Cam was Auburn’s offense, but it wasn’t like Auburn was putting up a shite ton of points that year. That defense was stout as frick though.

Except one that required him to pass the ball quickly and consistently.

Hard to compare considering they have two completely different skill sets.
Burrow is a far better passer and Cam is a far better runner.
As far as who will be the most productive, that’s still to be seen. I know if I were starting a franchise and had to pick between the two, I’m going with Burrow. He wins the mental game hands down.

Burrow is a better QB than Cam Newton. Burrow will be a better pro as well.

Obviously a much better passer, but is he a better playmaker than Cam was in 2010?
Joe Burrow isn’t better at Cam in anything. Cam Newton made Bo Jackson and Michael Jordan blush. Joe Burrow isn’t even the best athlete on his team or player.

I'd probably take the guy who didn't get CTE so hard that he turned into a middle-aged stay-at-home mom.

Everyone besides auburn fans: Burrow is clearly better
Auburn fans: Well, it depends how you define "football"

Burrow is more skilled at playing QB than Newton.
Burrow does not have the same impact on his team as Newton did.
LSU without burrow is probably still a 10 win team. 2010 Auburn without Newton is probably an 8 win team.
What is your particular metric for "better"?
Truth. Many factors (in addition to Burrow’s own hard work) made him elite. I don’t expect LSU to return to 9-3 next year under Brady’s scheme and with almost all the receivers returning, even though there will be some drop in offensive production. I do see Brennan throwing for around 3800 and 35ish TDs.
So don’t expect 2020 LSU to be 2011 Auburn. It’s not happening.

I’m pretty sure that Joe Burrow is better than Cam at avoiding felony charges for burglary and not putting himself in the position of being expelled for academic dishonesty.
I’m pretty sure Joe Burrow is better than Cam at avoiding controversy over his eligibility from being pimped out by his Daddy.

Wat?
Auburn scored 41.2 points per game and gave up 24.1/game. Defense gave up an average of 368 yards per game as well.
2019 LSU defense is giving up 21 per game and 301 yards per game.
2019 LSU is a much better overall team than the 2010 Auburn team.

I still laugh at that. Ole Scam at his self serving best.

Could Cam anticipate the scene unfolding, scramble, turn and spin the ball where the receiver *will* be with precision? No.
Is Burrow 6'6", twofiddy? No.
Both can win you a NC.
Burrow>>>Cam

Hard to pick one. Safe to say neither team makes it that far without those QBs but this LSU team is probably better than that Auburn team in most other positions. So Cam may have been even more important to his team that season.

He has x1,000 better character. And, as far as I know, wasn’t paid hundreds of thousands to play.

Cam was a superior athlete and was the perfect player for Auburn that season. Burrow just had the greatest college season of any QB, ever.
