I suspect some of the PTB who really wanted Freeze voiced their displeasure over a couple Kiffin tweets and applied pressure to hire the reverend. Now, their guy is facing backlash that anyone should have seen coming.

Here's what is undeniable. Jimmy Sexton saw an opportunity to make both himself and Kiffin some $$$$. It was a no-lose situation. Either way he and Kiffin get a raise, either from Auburn or Ole Miss. It worked. Plain and simple. The rest of what happened will most likely never be known, but THAT is undeniable.

If Auburn wants someone that will produce wins in football then they should hire Freeze. We all make mistakes in life. Freeze has made them and has acknowledged them as far as I can tell. The man can coach. Auburn can't afford to swing and miss on another coach. Hugh Freeze crosses the I's and dots the T's as much as any coach available. I believe he is the best fit and candidate for the job!

I think you mean Freeze went to liberty because he was radio active and no decent program wanted him as the face of the university.
