It’s a state that produces almost no elite talent on its own and surrounded by states that lock down their borders and take whatever they want from the state of Arkansas. There’s almost no redeeming quality about the state that makes young athletes want to go there.

They thump their chests about basketball but they haven’t won the conference or been to a final four in 30 years.

Hell at this point they might just be the great value brand of Nebraska

Truth for football not true for basketball recruits.

Are you saying that Nebraska’s border states do the same thing to it

Arkansas is a very pretty state but nobody knows it.

How do South Dakota State and North Dakota State have 11 national titles in 13 years?

Schools in less than ideal geographical destinations should take notes.

To be fair, the same can be said for Louisiana.

None of the things you list in your OP are what's wrong with Nebraska.

For football this isn't a fair comparison for Nebraska. The suck but at least still try. They would have never hired Pittman and for damn sure would have fired his arse last year.

We'll be fine in basketball. If our AD effs up this hire hell be gone soon.

Nebraska actually keep most of their in state talents. In 2024, they got #1 NE player, #2 IA player, #1 GA player, #1 HI player, #1 MT player and #5 CO player

As long as they are the Achille's heel of the Longhorns, they should be left alone.

Arkansas high school football is superior to Nebraska.

The problem is the talent is poorly developed and the coaching is terrible especially in some Little Rock school districts and all of Southeast Arkansas.

Now in high school basketball, Arkansas is much better than Nebraska.

Nick Smith Jr. was the number one player in the nation two years ago.

When mediocre Anderson was here, he had some talent on his teams from Arkansas.
