Bama has double the population of Ark. Outside of a few businesses like Walmart corp and Tyson Bama has a lot of diversity including most of the major car manufacturers have a presence here.

Also South Arkansas has a huge Lithium deposit that is two miles deep and is being extracted.
This is very important as it will be needed for batteries for electric cars that will replace gasoline vehicles.

Northeast Arkansas is a nice area. It doesn't suffer as much as the corruption of the small towns in Southeast Arkansas.

That's why Florida, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, the Carolinas, etc. are all burgeoning in population while people are fleeing the Midwest / Plains states in brigades, right?
Southeast now has the largest population and contributes the most to GDP, has the best cities, and some of the best colleges in the U.S. Not to mention the best weather and beautiful resort areas.
What does Kansas / the Midwest have again?

Which small town in southeast Arkansas do you live in where the corruption occurs?
The towns are too broke to get rich off of.
