Arkansas ranks in the top 5 for cotton and catfish.

Arkansas is a national leader in turkey and chicken.

Arkansas is ranked fourth in softwood lumber production.

Define “Southeast” and show something to back up these claims. I’m guessing you’re including states like Texas and Virginia and I don’t think many posters here would consider these states as Southeastern

South Arkansas is the only area in North America where lithium is being extracted.

The other places in the world include South America and Australia.

You would live in a shitty zip code regardless of the state.

Yeah … I’m far from poor. Quite the opposite actually (which I’m very grateful for). I’ve lived in Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and now building a house on the Georgia coast. I stand by my statement about the South.

Arkansas has the only diamond mine in the US.

Arkansas is the world producer of HIMARS which is almost single handedly fighting Russia at the moment. We also produce a ton of other rocket systems and missles, MLRS, ATACMS, Javelin's but I believe the Javelin is actually completed in Troy Alabama.

I think both Alabama and Arkansas are world's better than Mississippi and Louisiana. But both states have their fair share of problems too.

It’s mostly farm land and is very important to our state and country. Not much to look at but vital for food and clothing. Also great hunting and fishing. I would like to invite all who are critical of it to stay away.

It’s absolutely something to look at, farmland is the best of all landscapes.

Fix the problems in Southeast Arkansas and it would help the state.

It really does strike me, whenever I stop to think about it, just how far we've come ... based upon nothing more than just how cheaply everyone in the United States can eat and eat well. Thanks to advances in modern agriculture and distribution.

You ever watch the History Channel ? I love their "Stuff that Built America" series. They had a thing on Heinz and Campbells a couple nights ago. In the early 20th century ... a half gallon can of pre-made tomato soup cost the equivalent of $40 today. Can you imagine ?

And now ? You can buy a meal in a can for a buck if you catch it on sale. It's remarkable. And my God, if you're willing to garden - and we do - the stuff is just about free. Seeds are so cheap you don't even look at the price - you just buy what you want and grow as much as you like. All for a little sweat in the evenings.

Dude Kansas is literally the last place anyone would want to visit. Nothing to do and yall's scenery is like looking at a pancake. Most boring drive I ever took.

You sound like a liberal. I would much rather raise my family in a conservative state. You can have a really good life in the south and make really good money. I have a wonderful job and love living in ever-growing Northwest Arkansas.

I agree with you, but will say, that I believe North Carolina is gem of a state, in every respect.... I consider it a SE state, but some might not agree.... It is one of the best states to live in, if not the best when everything is considered.
