The is the CWS (college world series) then there is the WCWS (women's college world series)....2022 shaking my head why do we have to add the word men's in front.

Not at all. There’s a Womens College Word Series. Two decades ago they changed mens basketball abbreviations from NCAAB to NCAAM. If you have an issue with this then you have the maturity of a 13 year old.
