If you're still following and heavily invested in college sports that's a you problem.

Any fan who's not keyed in on their program's GM & scouting department doesn't understand the nature of this new game, or how to leverage it.

You think a team like Iowa State is going to be able to retain a GM and scouting department under these circumstances? They have zero chance.

With the portal rules the only way to stop this is with enforceable 2 year NIL deals.

North Texas and James Madison had their best seasons in school history and their entire sisters are basically gone.

The corrupt arse NCAA was better than this mad Max style no rules bullshite.

The schools that can’t compete will have to make some difficult choices. Either continue on and hope to hire someone with skills to reach younger players and a staff that attracts portal players with a sustainable NIL or they can become dormant and not be competitive. If they choose that route, they could end up finding themselves better off in the FCS division

The day we get 2 mega-conferences, college football will be dead.

That's pretty crazy. 1 returning starter.

Aggie Basketball this season … except it wasn’t just one returning starter… it was one returning player

Yeah, a real bummer when everyone gets to pay their players.

Oh that’s right, OU never paid a player.

regional aspect of CFB will be watered down, which is a shame. That (to me) is what made the game so much fun.

Regionalism is also what led to the SEC dominating over the Big XII, The B1G and the ACC for 20 years. So yeah, it’s going to be an adjustment to that. But when the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Instead of sulking and thinking that the world has gone to hell if you're Iowa State, why not take that same energy and say "let's be the next Indiana."

Iowa State doesn't have Mark Cuban money.

If schools are going to be buying championships, here's the list of the universities ranked by ultra wealthy alumni.

Bro really trying to compare it to freaking basketball where you need 7 players to be good.
Arkansas had zero returning or zero on the roster Cal’s first year and I’d never go full retar* and compare that to football

Cuban isn’t even their biggest donor. Indiana has the largest alumni base in the country

Damn. Not trying to turn anything into some type of contest. Just mentioning that times are changing, and diminished rosters are becoming more and more common.

Bucky McMillan took the A&M job with literally one returning player. That’s no easy mountain to climb … and I don't care what the sport is.

I had no idea Indiana had one of the biggest payrolls in college football.

Iowa state is a historically terrible program. The only successful coach in the last 5 decades just bailed for a better job. Why shouldn’t the players at Iowa state be able to do the same?

When your entire roster is a free agent every year bad shite will continue to happen.

Unfortunately we have removed the concept of player loyalty to the education institution in most cases.
