I watch tons of college football and did not know about it. Perhaps your statement should read:

Surprised a lot of you hadn't seen this yet. It was featured a lot last year and is mentioned quite a bit on Gameday I feel like, or it was. Either way a lot of you must not watch that much CFB.

The Birmingham Barons have picked up the same tradition with Children's Hospital

They do this during the 7th inning stretch. I tear up like a little girl every time. Seeing those poor little kids in the hospital windows watching the game and waiting for the fireworks gets me every time. Very moving.

I don't watch any of that. I only watch live games and I still saw this a ton over the last 2 years.

I haven't even watched Gameday in years.

I like the story of the Game day sign the opposing student(possibly Iowa State?) had that said he needed beer money and gave a venmo acct #. He got like $1,600 in contributions so He bought a case of beer and donated the rest to the children's hospital.

You should read the more recent news coverage of this story.

He's now raised $3 million for the UI Children's Hospital. Nearly $1 million was sent directly to his personal Venmo account, then Anheuser-Busch and Venmo are both matching that.

It's things like this that give me hope for the younger generations.

Lol no you don’t. If you’d seen any big 10 game in the last 2-3 years, you would’ve seen it. I’ve seen them open after a commercial break during the CBS 2:30 game to show the scene on Iowa.

That's great but i'm disappointed that you are just now finding this out. It isn't anything new.
