Found out Georgia team will drive back to Athens every day to practice, instead of practicing at MB stadium like Bama.

Eh. Overblown.

Smart wants to make this as normal as possible and keep them out of all the hoopla has much as he can.

We also played in MBS a month ago.

I’m going to trust Smart on this one because he hasn’t been wrong all that much so far. Seems like he knows what he’s doing.

Kirby knows Saban and knows this is the smart move.

That's not smart. Way higher chance of getting shanked or shot driving in every day.

I mean if he thinks it helps them win...then do it. I think it may be a little much, but I get him wanting to keep a routine to try and keep the pressure of the game down and be able to treat it as "every other game" in a sense.

It probably takes an hour to get there with a police escort. Not a big deal.

Why not just stay in athens, and drive in sunday night or monday morning?

Seems this kind of takes the home field advantage vibe out of it for the players. (minus the attendance)

Who knows if good or bad, but if uga loses I'm sure it would be a reason by fans.

The opposite. If players are doing their routine in Athens it only instills the home field advantage more.

Also keeps his practices restricted to whomever he wants in only.

Do you have a link? I looked on google but couldn’t find anything on this.

Also if this is the same plan smart used for the SECCG then we will be good to go.

Previous experience playing in MBD means little. I mean Auburn played their a month ago and still, for some reason, fielded a team that wore cleats that had every player on the team slipping on every play in Peach Bowl.
