If he has a defense this should be his best team at OM. Walked into no defensive talent. Slowly acquiring enough. We will see.

In 2021, our defense tackled well.

In 2022, they significantly regressed to what from 2016 - 2020.

If we can tackle better, we have a chance to be a good team. If we can't, though, it will be another frustrating season.

To be fair they were undefeated coming into TS and were ranked 7. LSU made Kiffin quit! You hate to see it

Kiffin's last win against a team that won nine or more games in the regular season came in 2011. Over his career, he's 1-19 against Power Five opponents who have won at least nine games.

For what it's worth, we have only played two power five teams that finished with 9 wins under Kiffin and we are 1-1 against them. We also beat a top 20, 12-2 Troy team this year, but I know LSU fans don't want to talk about the Trojans.

We have played a handful of teams that finished with 10+ wins and have lost all of those games, but it's not like we were playing scrubs (2020 Bama (national champ), 2021 Bama (conference champ and playoff participant), 2021 Baylor (conference champ and #4 in final rankings), 2022 LSU (division champ), 2022 Bama (#5 in final rankings)).

I'll give credit where it is due. LSU outplayed us in that game, especially considering we jumped out to a 17-0 lead. Perkins was all over the field, in particular.

It was clear our #7 ranking was fool's gold garnered from an easier schedule.

I’ve been telling people that Kiffin is smoke n mirrors, but he is funny and entertaining so everyone buys it.

Only on Twitter though. He is boring as heck in person.

He’s coached at Ole Miss and Florida Atlantic since his tenure at USC. Of course his record against top teams ain’t gonna be that good.

Ole Miss laid down about 1/3 through the 3rd quarter. The defense got a stop that should have held LSU to a field goal on the opening drive but a terrible PI call gave LSU first down and they scored soon after. Then Ole Miss responded well but threw a pick in the end zone. The defense laid down after that.

So he has been a head coach at:

- a down and out Tennessee team for 1 year.
- a probation stricken USC team
- FAU
- Took over a probation stricken Ole Miss team

I imagine if he was HC at LSU or Bama he wouldn’t be 1-19. I suggest your post shows more about your inability to be analytical and logical than CLK’s ability to field a team.

Go to the 15:08 mark. That ball sailed 10 yards over Nabers's head. Completely uncatchable.

Nevertheless, it was still going to be 3rd and 1, and our patty cake defense surely wouldn't have stopped the Tigers.

THIS

He does great until conference games roll around, but if Ole Miss is good with all hat, no cattle good for them. I don’t think he’ll ever be elite at anything. He’s just not serious about anything.

He is 14-11 in conference play since he arrived in Oxford. Only two schools have more conference wins in that same span:
Alabama - 25
Georgia - 24
LSU - 14
Ole Miss - 14
Texas A&M - 14
Florida - 13
Tennessee - 13
Kentucky - 12
Missouri - 11
Auburn - 11
Mississippi State - 11
Arkansas - 10
South Carolina - 9
Vanderbilt - 2

"He's not a national championship head coach at a mid-tier SEC school coming off of crippling probation/sanctions. He's terrible."

Give it a few posts and an LSU fan will claim Kiffin was on his hands and knees begging for the LSU job in 2021.

Kiffin can be a revolutionary Head Coach, but it probably won’t be at my alma mater, so hear me out..

I agree. But I hope he continues to do well at Ole Miss just not against UT. I sincerely hope he doesn’t end up at one of the Florida schools
