I hate the excuse "pac-10 defenses". Gerhart has a Pac-10 o-line.

What will hurt Ingram is Richardson.

It won't hurt. Richardson will get his Heisman his junior year after Ingram goes pro. Personally, I think the Heisman should go to a 1st Round Pick. Thus, Suh and Ingram are the two logical choices. I don't think Gerhart will be a 1st rounder (this is my criteria...I am tired of Toretta/Crouch types that won't ever make it in the NFL.....Gerhart falls more into that line of Heisman types. If Suh wins it, I am happy with that....that guy is a beast.

I don't know where to find it, but it would be telling to see what the stats would be against the opponents of Ingram and Gerhart vs what these two put up.

My guess would be that Ingram's yards playing in the SEC would be higher vs opponents than Gerhart's vs PAC 10 opponents.

And the shite you are spewing is rational? Are you retarded or is there no excuse for your stupidity. So Gerhart leads in one statistical category td against the one of the worst defensive conferences of the bcs conferences.

Here's how good Suh is. If Ole Miss had him, he would have replaced Jevan Snead in the starting lineup and led us to an undeafeated record for the next decade. The NCAA afraid to tell him he's no longer eligible.

Would Gerhart have gotten 26 TDs against the tough SEC defenses? Would Gerhart have been able to get 3 TDs and 189 total yards against the nations #1 D? UF had allowed a total of 3 rushing TDs all year before the Bama game.

Gerhart is good but look at the competition. He put up 205 yards against ND, a team that is close to last in rush D, while Ingram put up 246 yards against a solid D in USCe.

I guess the NFL experts didn't either.

Toby Gerhart
RB
6'0¼"
237
Grade: 76
Position Rank: 7
Overall Rank: 88

Grade 70-79 Solid Prospect Still a standout player at the college level that is close to being an elite player. He has no glaring weaknesses and will usually win his individual matchups, but does not dominate in every game, especially when matched up against the top players in the country. He will usually rate in the top third of players at his position and is considered a third round draft prospect.

Ahead of Gerhart: remember Ingram is a Soph...

C.J. Spiller
Jahvid Best
Jonathan Dwyer
Ryan Matthews
Joe McKnight
Montario Hardesty

agree wholeheartedly

that is my entire basis for Gerhart...I just think Bama is such a damn good team that Richardson could have probably done similar things...hell Coffee had a phenomenal year last year.

UHHHHHH THEY DIDN'T HAVE OVER 1500 YDS, didn't set the all time record at Alabama, don't think they had 18 TD'S, don't think they ran for 246 Yds or so in any game. But yea your right hell Coffee and Richardson both could have done that with no Problem, REALLY!

I understand what you're saying and I know you gumps refuse to give another player props but someone from the Pac 10 could point to the AU game and we know our D is one of the worst in the country. So.........

Don't give me this shite about Gumps not giving anyone props. Everyone is saying that Gerhart is a good RB but we also have our doubts that he could score 26 TDs against the SEC defenses. I've read your posts and you are constantly bias and can't stand the fact that Bama is playing for another NC so you definitely don't want to admit that one of our players might win the Heisman.

Like I've said before, Gerhart is good but he also had 90 more carries than Ingram to get his scores. Ingram has 18 total TDs and averages more YPC.

Everyone has bad days but he had big numbers on the biggest stages. McCoy and Ingram will be 1 and 2 in the final voting IMO.

WTF does these recent(since2000) HT winners have in common?

quote:

2008 Sam Bradford Oklahoma 2007 Tim Tebow Florida 2006 Troy Smith Ohio State 2005 Reggie Bush USC 2004 Matt Leinart USC 2003 Jason White Oklahoma 2002 Carson Palmer USC 2001 Eric Crouch Nebraska 2000 Chris Weinke Florida State Complete list of all Heisman winners

Their teams went to a BCS game! Most, went to the title game.
It's not about how well you preform in losing efforts.
If Ingram doesn't win, they will give it to McCoy.

are you a 14 year old girl because you type like one...

coffee had 233 carries for 1383 yards and 10 tds

ingram had 249 carries for 1542 yards and 15 tds

you give coffee 16 more carries and he should be within 100 yards...not a huge difference...

richardson carried 126 times for 642 yards...double that up and you're at 252 carries for 1284 yards...not as impressive as ingram but definitely in the ballpark

also nowhere did I say either could have done it with "no problem" but nice try you miserable little shite....relax frances and let the grownups actually discuss and compare instead of being a whiny little bitch about the entire thing.

Gerhart played behind an inferior line. Deserves all the accolades given.
