Bama had a couple that should have . Namath should have walked away with it and Derrick Thomas had the most legit argument a defensive player had.

amazing what happens when the NCAA turns a blind eye to blatant cheating.

Should’ve had at least 2 more touchdowns than what he had. His receivers dropped like 4-5 passes that game that were huge.

How does one cheat their way to a Heisman, pray tell?

He was a great coach at LSU, but I think he arrived that way and laid a foundation that carried on through the next coach.

The Heisman is a popularity contest. Last year's winner was very overrated.

Then why doesn't Auburn win more?

Doubtful. Saban couldn't even string together back-to-back 10-win seasons at LSU whereas, at Alabama, he hasn't had a season with fewer than 11 wins since 2010.

Les Miles and Ed O won titles at LSU since Saban left but you're probably right. Good grief.

Les Miles had Saban's recruits and still needed the wackiest weekend in the history of college football to even be in position to win one. Ed Orgeron had Joe Burrow at QB and Joe Brady on staff. Miles was more responsible for 2007 than Orgeron was for 2019.

He wasn't standing when Georgia's defense finished with him.

He was 1-1 vs Georgia. In the SEC Championship he was 26-44 for 421 YDS 3 TD. Certainly, Georgia's defense stepped up in the natty but Bryce still had a better QBR than Bennett and deserved the trophys for his season's work. Those included the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award, Davey O’Brien Award, Manning Award, AP College Football Player of the Year. Sporting News College Football Player of the Year, SEC Offensive Player of the Year, and SEC Championship Game MVP. BUt, yes, he sucked.

I’d rather have more national titles than Heisman winners.

I agree. Which is why I am happy Nick has 6 Nattys and 4 Heisman winners at Alabama.

Les Miles played for 2 national titles.

Also, using your logic, Saban's first title at Bama was won with Shula's recruits.
