You know what's the saddest thing about that graphic?

Only one state's top employer actually produces something tangible.

Where are all these Walmart employees? Every time I go in I see one maybe two employees.

this and the self checkout lanes.

If I wanted to check myself out, I would get a job there.

It's called a service economy breh

Also, health seems fairly tangible

Really? I only shop at places that have Self Checkout. Mrs. Cane shares your view, though

I shouldn't have to scan and bag my own groceries.

The graphic says top private employers. Wouldn’t university systems be considered public?

Exactly. Public university systems are not private employers.

Soon amazon and Walmart will be all that’s left.

With all the recent talk about Amazon's tremendous growth, I find it interesting that Amazon isn't even the top employer in Washington.

Anyone who isn't using self-checkout is wasting some serious time. I can save 10 minutes at least when it's busy.

I'm ready for the new technology where it automatically checks you out as you walk out the door though.

I haven't gotten it yet but Sam's has some app you can get where you check yourself as you go around the store and you have payment set up in the account and I think you just show your phone to the folks at the door when you leave so they know can do a quick check to make sure you accounted for everything.

I’ve done that at Sams and it’s nice. Every store needs this. I laugh every time I walk by the long lines and out the door.

Every time I'm there which is probably close to once a week between work and other stuff I say I'm going to get it and still haven't. Maybe I'll do that RIGHT now!

Sam's is cool because they give you the gun to do it. You don't even have to take anything out of the cart.

Do you have the one that shows how it has changed from week to week? That part is vital

They're getting ready to start testing this in Supercenters and Neighborhood Markets. I'd expect it to be in all NHMs within 5 years.

Bentonville got its first "pick-up tower".

Walmart stock is actually at all-time highs right now.

Why? I'm better at it than they are, and I care about keeping my asparagus upright and my chicken away from my baby food.

I'd much rather bag my own.
