I see even less benefit to Iowa St in the Big 10.
At least there is some geographical relevance, unlike KSU > PAC.
Over the years here & there, ISU's been good at both football and basketball. And they're an AAU member since the 50's.

Why would the PAC want KState?
Seems like access to the Texas TV market would be things the big10 and pac want.
I don’t know crap tho.

Hahahaha. It's no different then when y'all left. You saw the writing on the wall and wanted out. Unfortunately, OU tied their boat to Texas and 10 years plus later, here we are. Stop acting like you did any different or spoke any different of the Big XII on your way out. You're pissy because you have to deal with Texas again.

I think it's a bunch of rumor mongering bologna. It makes 0 financial sense for the B1G to take kU and Iowa State.
They don't bring enough revenue and the current members of the conference have no interest in splitting it two more times.
Also, why in the hell would the PAC want to K-state or Oklahoma State for that matter?

Dude. You're on a SEC board with SEC in your username.. constantly bitching about being in the SEC. It's pointless. Not funny, nobody's melting, etc. I'm just trying to help but go on if you must.

I thought the Kansas Jayhawks owned all of the KC market?

That's all good and well but I would think they would join the PAC-12.

Agreed. None of them offer anything of real value.
Posted on 8/24/21 at 1:32 pm to OilfieldSooner
None of those things are happening. The Big 12 will add a few schools and try to make Texas' and OU's exits as difficult and expensive as possible. Then they will fade into the obscurity of a G6 conference and compete with the AAC and MWC.

Private religious based (I know) schools in Cali sports? That’s a hard sell.

Hey —
I’m not going to sit here and claim OU is some academic powerhouse, but for you to say Tech has higher standards is complete nonsense.

Bowlsby said the Big 12's TV deal ($250M/yr.) is 50% OU/Texas. So, the others = $125M.
TV deals are 80% football. So, rest of Big 12 hoops = $25M.
That's 1/2 what the B1G makes in TV *per school.*
If the Big Ten is going to do anything, it will have to be a school that adds more than $60M a year in TV value. BBall alone doesn't do that.
Rutgers and Maryland snuck in before cord cutting. Decisions aren't being made today for cable households.

I'll absolutely eat crow if the B1G invites kU. That being said, there is now way it happens. You just don't bring enough $$$$$ to the table.

Silly. Reality there have been questions over the last 20 years of TT keeping their accreditation. I could provide you some real differences, but probably a waist of characters.

It's totally different. We left on our own terms.
You tied your boat Texas 10 years ago. And you're still tied to them today. OU is the most pathetic lackey program in college football, and the sad part is the program that makes all your business decisions for you isn't even in your own state.
EVERYTHING we did was different when we left. And it's why we're better than you today, and will remain better than you going forward.
