Dude … please don’t be an arse. All 8 of the teams in the CWS have accomplished great things and A&M is having a great season. Just celebrate the OU win without dumping on the other teams.

I really hope they keep East/West as many of you suggest. Move Alabama and Auburn East and place OU, Texas and Missouri West. I like the two divisions with a conference championship games. I also like an almost entirely SEC schedule.

Alternate Uniforms

What are your thoughts on alternate uniforms? It might be my age but I prefer when teams stay with their traditional look. Sad to say that even my Sooners go alternate one or two times per year. Just seems like a cheap low class gimmick attempt to me.

It was a glorious day. I’d experienced the great OU teams of the 70’s and 80’s but then had to suffer through the 90’s. My God the 90’s were just terrible. I was beginning to wonder if we would ever be back. Then …. the 2000 season and beating Nebraska!! Man we owed them that one after some off the arse-whippings they gave us in the 90’s. I think a lot of pent up frustration was released by OU fans that day!!

That 2000 game was one of the best. Old guys like me go on and on about the 70’s and 80’s but that 2000 game was huge. OU had sucked for such a long time and finally returned to prominence. Did you rush the field after the game? Did you get pepper sprayed?

They were already falling off, but (in my opinion) going to the Big 10 just killed them. They got more $$ but lost all traditional rivals and their recruiting line to Texas. They have not been a top 5 team since 2001!!!

No apology necessary. I really like the banter on this SEC board. Can’t wait until my Sooners arrive and develop new rivals!! I will confess that I believe the majority of OU fans are in for a rude awakening if they think OU is going to dominate in SEC like they have the Big 12. Other than possibly Vandy … I just don’t see any easy games over here. It’s going to be fun though!!!
