I'm a Bama fan, but Auburn is my second choice

What is going on now on the Plains is downright embarrassing. If I understand correctly, they are going to let Malzahn stay on as coach if he agrees to run the program exactly as prescribed by some person, or persons; who may, or may not have coaching experience.
First off: Auburn's schedule in 2019 is insane. There are only five probable wins on that schedule. I'm not sure Saban, Meyer, Jimbo, or whoever could do better than 7-5 with the talent level currently on campus.
So what is the point in dragging this thing out? Twelve months (or sooner) from now everyone will be having the same discussion. Only the amount of the buyout will change.
So why not yank the bandaid off, make the best hire available, and commit to it for five years? The way it is currently being handled, will set the program back so far, that it will never catch Bama, LSU, Florida, UGA, A&M, or Miss State.

There may be state laws against this...jk though actually had a friend that attended one for undergrad and one for grad school. Hes also a rare half and half

I don't know about all that.
All I know is that there are three universal, inalterable truths about the SEC:
1. Miss. St. and Ole Miss are the most irrelevant schools in the conference
2. No one wants Mizzou in the conference
3. A&M gives off gaylord vibes
AU and LSU at least have a chance to correct their behavior somewhere down the line
