I will not be back on the rant. It will unbearable. So, you want to get rid of me, LSU needs to beat Bama

Honestly, the loudest I've ever heard stadiums when we've traveled are:
#1: LSU in 2012
#2: LSU in 2018
#3: Georgia in 2008
#4: Florida in 2011
Outside of 2012, each of those have been unmitigated arse beatings. I think when you get that hype and have that many pump-up videos... you kinda lose sight on the fact that team your trying to beat, doesn't and has never won that way. They methodically focus on execution, and nothing else.
After Tua went down in BR last year, the place was a fever pitch. But playing "Mo Bamba" and hosting a bunch of old players who also never beat Alabama to dance around on the sideline with y'all isn't closing the gap.

Sun, my friend... is that the game that LSU had a total of 125 yds offense, only 33 yds on the ground (LF averaged about 1 yd per carry) compared to 330 yds total for Alabama, 220 in the ground?
Is that the same game that LSU only had 6 first downs? The same game that Alabama had about 35 mins possession compared to 25 for LSU? The same game that LSU was lucky the score wasn’t about 29-0, only because of an uncharacteristic 3 Alabama turnovers?
And now you want to say LSU coulda shoulda woulda won ... if only? And you wonder why LUSers are thought by everyone on this board to be hopelessly and imaginably delusional?

I don't think the players get wrapped up in this stuff the same way the fans do.
That having been said, Les did make the Bama game his tOSU while at LSU and I do think what you're describing crept in that way. O has backed off that that, not sure it will end up mattering bc O is no Les (at least when Les was at his peak, I prefer O to 2016 Les)

It’s totally a mental thing. I know a high school coach who used to be an analyst at LSU and he told me that the weeks leading up to Bama everyone is a nervous wreck, and it’s totally believable if you just watch the game.

Are we really the only fan base that trolls? I’m not one of em FYI. Serious question though, only cause I don’t go on other teams fans websites. I just think Bama players play their best vs LSU cause they know talent wise that’s the only team on par or close to them that they face year in year out. Clemson and Georgia excluded cause they dont play every year, well aren’t scheduled to play. Plus it’s just the past few years where those 2 teams have been this talented. But when u know that there’s always that one game of the year where u know that the guy lining up across from u is just as talented as u are. You’re gonna play like hell when given that chance. The difference has been coaching, scheme (o-line) and QB play.

No chance this year, streak will be up to 9 when dust settles Nov 9, however in 2020 if a miracle happens in death valley both goal post will come down. There will certainly be wide spread property damage on the LSU campus. It'll be a state of emergency, national guard being called in.
