Remove Missouri

Swap Missouri for Nebraska. I’m saw some smoke that one team may get kicked out of the B1G.. no link, but it’s possible since they lost AAU status and the other 12 teams they are looking at are all AAU.

Sorry Missouri. I’m not trying to be a sick, but I’d make that trade all day long.

why the hell do we keep adding. Expansion is stupid. 12 teams is perfect.

24 teams = 2 groups of 12

I think everyone kinda agrees that 12 is perfect. I’m hoping for 24 in the B1G and SEC.

8 divisions of 6
Play your division (5)
Play one other division (6)
Play one perm (1)
this is about as even as it can get
play all teams home and home every 6 years

8-16 teams make playoffs

B1G Champion plays SEC Champion in the Rose Bowl each year

Seems like TCU would make sense at some point if it keeps going.

UNC
Notre Dame
Clemson
FSU

Obviously Notre Dame is not a cultural fit but you can’t pass them up if it’s an option. All but UNC would drive huge football matchups, UNC would expand the SEC’s reach into the mid Atlantic and would also be a premium brand (even if the football success isn’t there)

TCU is a smallish private school. About 10k students. Clearly they are having a pretty good sports year, and I’m not totally against it, I just think it would be short sighted.

I would personally choose Oklahoma State, WVU, Texas Tech and Kansas before TCU.

Baylor would be a toss up. They are twice as big with 20k students, but also a private school.

The bigger issue with all of those teams ia the GOR that they all just signed. Idk how long the contract runs.

Unless..
B1G takes Kansas
and
SEC takes
WVU
OSU
Texas Tech
Baylor
TCU

If they did that right now before July 1 when the others join, perhaps those 6 + Texas + OU could dissolve the conference.

That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen though, but I’m not a lawyer.

The Big 12 may be off limits for a while.
I think the ACC might get chopped within 1-2 years, maybe a lot sooner.

Same. Hell, even if we were one of the four. I do not want super conferences.

I don't know why this has to be said over and over again. The SEC doesn't want or need Clemson, period. They bring nothing to the table.
South Carolina is exploding in population. Clemson has staying power as a nationally relevant program. The SEC would take Clemson as soon as they could get them.

Personally, I would like Clemson & VT.

But I can see how FSU has "more branding" than VT.

Unless they have to take them, I HIGHLY DOUBT GT will be an SEC member again.

Clemson, even after what they've done over the past 10 years, is only popular in the upstate area.
