I think it would be informative to see UCF play Bama or Clemson. Not sure it deserves a post season matchup but one of yall should put it down for next seasons regular schedule so we could put this argument to rest.
and as always the mandatory THANKS AUBURN.

I blame Auburn for this shite.

All hate aside, if they run the table this year and it follows over through next year, I think they deserve consideration. Maybe this year they can play in one of the big bowls like the Sugar that are not a part of the playoff and see how they do.
Last year no one gave them much of a chance against Auburn and they beat Auburn by 10.

Not until the playoff is at least 8 teams. UCF’s schedule is garbage. That they’ve had some close calls with that schedule speaks volumes.

Last season is irrelevant and their schedule is even worse this year with USF and Memphis falling off some. They deserve nothing.

UCF is behind every one-loss champ and undefeated Notre Dame, but if it comes down to non-champs and two-loss champs, put them in.

This thread is great evidence we should move to a 8 team playoff at minimum though,
Stupid thread, but great evidence. Uh, no.

We prolly need to pick them up in the Big XII. I say this knowing full well how much we regretted not taking Lville a few years ago before they got temporarily good & now suck again.

If they were blowing the doors off their opponents like Bama has done, the weakness of their schedule would be less glaring. They get in shootouts with bad teams and play into the fourth quarter too often to merit serious consideration.

Would you let them in over Georgia or Michigan

It would be a total joke if the defending National Champs ran the table and didn't in the playoffs.

UCF beat Memphis by 1 point and were praised
Mizzou beat Memphis by 32, and it was business as usual
UCF doesn’t deserve jack

Don't worry. Those big time wins against teams like the Temple Owls are bound to get some attention.

I say let them in at #4! I remember when the same was said about Utah and they waxed Bama in the Sugar Bowl!

The bigger question is whether or not they claim a natty two years in a row if they go undefeated but are left out of the playoffs? I suspect they will claim it again.
The solution is simple: schedule better teams. They play JV teams every week and there is no way to compare them to teams that have actual talent.
