I'm not joking. Targetting or not, this hit wouldnt have been overturned if it happened Monday.

If UGA hadn’t left 13 points on the field that would be a non-issue

This should show pretty clearly it wasn't targeting.

Man everyone with eyes that doesn't hate ga knows it was a good hit. Shoulder/Shoulder not targeting just cuz he got thumped into next day. Want more to cry about Harrison himself said it was a good hit.

He step out of bounds before getting hit. If he hadn’t dropped the ball it would’ve been illegal touching.
I know that used to be the hard and fast rule, but I've seen a lot of "he re-established position in bounds" calls the last few seasons. Really seemed to start with Manziel and A&M, I remember watching a WR loop out of bounds against Mizzou, then come back in and catch a bomb.

If Harrison got both feet in before the ball arrived, they would call that good and a TD.

This is a historically bad thread.

Uga team is dirty AF. Took out our best receiver who was destroying their secondary. I wonder how much NIL their player got for carrying out the bounty?

My Ohio State Buckeyes should be playing for the championship.

They probably reversed a handful of this all year, I bet I personally saw them reverse a dozen during bowl season

Depends on if he stepped out of bounds by himself or if he was forced out.

You can’t commit a penalty vs a player who’s not playing.

Really? That doesn’t seem correct.

There are so many unsportsmanlike penalties during fights called on players that where not involved in the play, or even on the field.

What would happen if a player ran onto the sidelines after a play and punched a player not even on the field? I mean, he isn’t on the field. No penalty huh?

No, a 15 yard penalty. And ejected.

To add to the “he was out of bounds” claim, he got pushed out by the DB. The rules say if a receiver gets pushed out of bounds by a defender he is allowed to come back in bounds immediately without penalty. Which is what happened.

At least learn the rules please.

I offered him 180,000 dollars but he turned me down said this guy was such a candy arse he would do it for free.

It wasn’t targeting but you can certainly get a personal foul or targeting penalty after a play is dead.

The targeting was waved off...and why would he have gotten a personal foul? He hit a WR who was attempting to catch a pass? is that illegal, too?

I might also mention that Harrison stepped out of the field of play and reentered it to try to catch the pass, which happens to be illegal.

No helmet to helmet or helmet to neck area. Clearly shoulder to shoulder.
Nice catch.

He was defenseless and knocked on conscious so it was obviously helmet to helmet. Not sure why they picked it up but Georgia got a couple calls i thought were iffy.

ventrell Miller's hit that got him targeting and many others this year were far less egregious but stood.

I don't blame you for dumping your Auburn Tigers.

He isn’t wrong. And OP is also correct, despite how in bad taste this thread is, had that Harrison hit happened next week the targeting would have been confirmed.

This really makes no sense considering the lack of helmet to helmet contact. Rules are the rules.
