They should be. They only play three decent teams all year.

Unfortunately we already know the answer to that question

The Crossbacks are only out with three losses.
Four next year.
Four next year.

They should be but they have basically negotiated a guaranteed playoff spot with 2 losses

frick no. They will only drop like 4 spots. See UGA vs Auburn.

Hell no
That's the one school that could have 3 losses and still get in.

They definitely should be. They schedule mostly shitty teams to inflate their record, and they lose when they finally play a good team. And they still expect to get special treatment because they're high and mighty Notre Dame. I hope UM steamrolls them

Yup. See last year. They lost their only two tough games by a combined 4 points and didn’t make it. They had ranked wins over USC and Pitt (wow!). And still didn’t make it.
If they lose to Miami this year, they’re out. They would have won “quality” win over a barely ranked SMU.
You can’t have a SOS in the upper 60’s, lose your two tough games, avoid a conference championship, and make the playoffs. The committee set that precedent last year.

They should be out now with the pathetic schedule they have played. SEC teams plays two hard games before the first month of the season is over. ND will play two competitive games all year. They should be required to go undefeated with a schedule that bad.
The Committee will put them in with 2 losses though. They won’t leave them out again after all the whining last year.

I count 2. Unless you are counting SMU. If they lose to Miami that means they would have 2 losses against the only ranked teams they played. Unless SMU is still #24 when they play them.

Absolutely they should be. If SMU isn't ranked when they play they wouldn't have a single top 25 win.

they rigged the rules last year after it happened
They knew they could schedule their way in
10 garbage wins and 2 losses to the only good teams they played will work.
Another reason s big playoff sucks.

If they get smoked by Miami and BYU loses a few games maybe.
But I doubt it.

Notre Dame shouldn’t even be sniffing the top 10. Halfway through the season with nothing more on their resume than a few wins over bad teams.
James Madison is 7-0 with exactly the same number of wins against ranked teams as ND has: zero.

ND will always get the benefit of the doubt. They are definitely IN with two losses.
