I see talking about other SEC schools on an SEC forum even if it isn't overtly negative is frowned upon here.

You should also be the thankful Tebow changed his mind at the last minute to got to UF. I firmly believe Shula would have been there at minimum 2 more years, probably more.
100% agree. There were multiple games/instances of things like that were a coin flip that if they had gone the other way Shula gets another year
- Tebow recruitment
- 2005 LSU game
- 2006 Arkansas game
- 2006 MSU game
Any of those things go the other way and Shula gets another year and Saban either stays in Miami or takes another college job and who knows where we are today. We go 11-1 (even with a loss to Auburn) and go to the SECCG and then a BCS game in 2005 and Shula is not fired in 2006. We beat Arkansas or MSU and go 7-5 in 2006 Shula is not fired. I firmly believe all of that.

The better question is LSU. We def win 2011 title. And 2012 most likely as well. Thanks alot GUYS, now I need to go find some Bourbon

And sign quite a few of the guys we ended up signing. Julio probably goes elsewhere. Etc, etc.
The dominoes are miles long.

You could also say the six in a row and Auburn taking the lead in the modern day series against Alabama moved Alabama to a point to stop in fighting and give up control of the program back to the coach so that someone could be successful again.
This is correct. One is just as true as the other.

Is it time for this yearly thread already?

Nick Saban is the best thing to ever happen to Auburn Football.
That would be Pat Dye.

Hard to disagree...but I think you get my point.

It certainly has turned into a serious arms race between the two schools, and others are also following suit. The SEC in particular; just look at the highest recruiting class rankings. Being #7 in the SEC usually means you're still top 15 in the country. 5 of the top 10 on 247 are SEC teams.

The almighty bama is so powerful and awesome it is contagious. You think if Auburn didn't spank bama's arse for 6 straight years they'd be as good as they are now?

Yeah, I get the point and agree each school pushes the other and Saban at Bama forced us to act.

One could say Tuberville winning 5 in a Row was the best thing that could have happened to Alabama recently.

Could people also credit Rich Rodriguez for Bama's success?

Actually, all this happened because of a stripper and UA credit card!
