If LSU hangs on to Aranda and Ensminger as coordinators does O still get fired?

Hanging on to good coordinators was a problem A&M experienced under RC Slocum. I argue that, had the AD coughed up the money to keep the likes of Bob Davies, Bob Toledo, Steve Kragthorpe, Phil Bennett, etc. Slocum would have remained at Aggy for at least another 10 years.
Is that generally the consensus on Coach O?

Because so many defensive coordinators would pass up their first opportunity for a HC job in the Big 12 to stay at DC..

I've said it before... Aranda was to O's organization what Cutcliffe was to Fulmer's. He brought a structure and organization that we have sorely missed the last two years.

There’s no “hanging on” to someone that wants to be a head coach.

Ultimately, if O kept winning at a high level (presumably on the backs of great assistants), he would have stuck around.
But in the end, Woodward didn’t hire O and would have looked for any reason to get rid of him if the Ws stopped rolling in.

With enough money they would. I would argue that Aranda would have held on for a much better opportunity than Baylor and could have kept O winning regularly until then.
But, who knows.

Aranda was already the highest paid DC.
He wanted to be a HC.

If anything, this makes the most sense.
Woodward would have done everything in his power to keep good coordinators, so it probably wasn't in the cards to keep Aranda.
I know that Woodward doesn't make a change unless he already has a replacement, so the coaching search is over. We're just waiting for the season to end.

Probably not with aranda. He brought a lot of organization and stability.

Aranda wanted to be a HC and ensminger didn’t want to be a OC. Neither were money issues.
The failure was on O making poor replacement hires and having no real plan of action. Money is not and will not be an issue here.

Orgeron has done and said a lot of stupid things even before 2019.... but he completely lost track after that NC. Hard working, good recruiter but not a good HC long term. He brought in that brash Miami mentality and that shite never ends well.

Aranda was making almost 3 million a year as a coordinator his last year at LSU and had a fully guaranteed 8 figure deal. Not sure how you could pay a coordinator any more than that honestly. He was paid more than, I believe, every single G5 head coach at the time and more than quite a few P5 head coaches.

I'm not sure why LSU fans are so enamored of the AD. Alabama's current AD didn't hire Saban and it's ludicrous to suggest that Saban actually answers to the AD. I think the head coach at successful major football playing programs are more powerful than the AD and nobody gives a shite when the AD was hired.

O wanted him gone.

You’re so damn dumb.
Perpetually, too.

Saban is also the only head coach that does not have to answer to the AD.

I can nearly guarantee you that isn't so. I mean, technically, even Saban has to answer to the AD, but the best head coaches at strong programs do not, practically, answer to the AD. The coaches at Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma, it's a real good bet that if push comes to shove, those coaches will have the support of those that matter, and the AD will not. If at LSU your AD has and, more importantly, wields that authority over the coach then you have problems, and it's no wonder you struck out with Herman and Fisher.

2018, both Aranda and Ensminger were at LSU with Joe Borrow as QB. LSU went 10-3, being shutout by Alabama 29-0, and losing to Florida and TA&M. There are no asst. coach sure things in football.
