If there are other one loss or undefeated major conference champions.

If LSU loses a close game AT Tuscaloosa, LSU SHOULD get in to the Playoff over one loss league champs with a lesser resume.

I’m basing this off the rules established already and penalizing Alabama more heavily for it they lose at home.

Still weeks away and a lot can happen, but I just wanted to put my stake in the ground now.

Carry on.

So your stake in the ground is : Alabama is out if they lose, LSU is in regardless.

Well, that's quite a brave position to take Mr LSU fan.

Auburn is going to beat LSU in Baton Rouge. I’m convinced if it with all this LSU bs talk about Bama.

I mean, if LSU loses, they’d have to win the rest of their games, but yeah. A loss on the road to Alabama shouldn’t penalize them they much as long as there aren’t other undefeated conference champs.

Alabama losing AT HOME should affect them a lot more if there are other conference champs with a similar resume.

Probably true. But a 1 loss Bama or Clemson isn’t getting left out unless they’re 4 undefeated teams. They’ve earned the benefit of the doubt

Have you informed Vegas that LSU fans commenting on the SEC Rant will affect the outcome of a game in two weeks?

You should put some money down.

Auburn is going to get throttled Saturday night. It’s a tradition in Tiger Stadium.

Correct. How does Ala get in if they haven't beaten a ranked team? Aub won't be ranked.

Why? Alabama got destroyed last year. Why should they get in over other conference champs if they lose at home?

I’m talking about if there are a slew of one loss teams. Obviously, undefeated teams would get in over either LSU or Alabama with one loss.

There is a certain flow to a football season and full of shitness by the masses and fan hubris does have an impact.

Because Bama has been the best team going on 12 years now.

1 loss Non-conf champion Bama will get in over 1 loss Conference Champ. The committee proved that last year when they ranked a 2 loss non conf champ Georgia over 1 loss B1G champ Ohio State in the final poll.

In the playoffs the only time a non-conference champ got in over a Power 5 conference champ is when the conference champ had two losses (2016 - 1 loss Ohio State over 2-loss champ Penn State ans 2017 - 1 loss Alabama over 2-loss champ Ohio State). If you have two losses you kind of lose the high ground.

With that said this part of your opinion:

quote:

LSU SHOULD get in to the Playoff over one loss league champs with a lesser resume.

... hasn't really played out in the playoff selection to this point so I wouldn't get your hopes up (assuming you mean a 1-loss non-champ LSU (or Alabama for that matter)). It could happen, but it hasn't yet.
