Maybe they are, maybe they aren't .

But that game draws to many eyeballs not to be played every year.

They ought to have if they didn't. Thats a helluva unholy triumvirate...I don't know that its ever happened and I am sure it hasn't in recent history but there is a good chance those 3 would be 60% of the top 5 teams in the nation any given season. Auburn and TTSIO is a must have game....while the LSU matchup is as viewed as any in CFB that's a helluva 3 game series every seaason. I know Alabama has navigated it many times but it is was then and will be again a helluva challenge some seasons....

There should be NO permanent rivalry games. Only fair way is fully rotating.

Some have to remain in place. Iron Bowl and TTSIO, Deep South's Oldest Rivalry and the WLOCP, The Red River Shootout and whatever the frick they call Texas / ATM and The Egg Bowl, need to be played every season. There are probably others, seems like Tennessee and UK are kind of a big deal....but some of them need to remain in place. I haven't done the math but it seems like 2 permanent rivalries would fill the bill pretty nicely but it may make the rotation difficult to schedule, don't know. Alabama, UGA, Auburn and Texas all have 2 traditional annual rivalries that are on par with any rivalries in any sport, it'd be a travesty to lose those.

there are high school seniors that have never seen Mississippi State beat Bama anywhere.

but that's who you want as your third "rival"

Again, it's the big LSU boosters who are demanding that LSU avoid Bama, not the other way around. As confirmed by multiple independent reports, LSU athletic personnel have basically been crawling on their hands and knees to the SEC offices to make sure that Alabama isn't a permanent rival to LSU.

Think for a second. Which team is more likely to want a series ended: the one that wins almost every time, or the one that loses almost every time?

For the losers (LSU), there is no shame in saying "no mas!" The goal is making the playoffs, and Alabama is an obstacle. As they say, if you can't go through, go around.

What you said is true but you failed to mention that LSU/ Florida were permanently joined at the hip. The East/ West division didn’t present a likely matchup as often for Bama/ Florida.

should be easy to provide multiple links then if this is confirmed by multiple reports.

Well that is just dumb. Of course they have.

But there are so few actual Tennessee fans here and they were bad for so long it wasn’t very sporting for a long time.

Even with that, they are still the most hated team by many Alabama fans.

Your posting has really gone to shite as you have gotten more and more obsessed with Alabama fans on here.

ALABAMA has played the barn, Tennessee, and LSU every single year. Best I can tell, it's been going on nonstop for at least the last 60 years. 30 SEC championships later, we seem to be just fine.

Who else in the conference would have 3 of the Big 6 as permanent rivals?

Auburn? Tennessee? Dafuq are you talking about “big 6”? Historically? Currently? Tennessee hasn’t been good for decades and now you call them big 6 because they had a few good seasons. You call Auburn big 6 because it’s a big game to you. No one else does either of these things.

Permanent rivals. Meaning it will not just be this year. Teams fluctuate. Auburn won’t always suck. Tennessee won’t always be good.

As a Bama fan since Saban left you should know this better than anyone.

I’d rather have Auburn than A&M

They made the CFP just this past year. They have a CFP appearance more recently than LSU.

This is about Tuscaloosa whining about Bama having 3 of the “big 6” as “permanent rivals.” Do you understand what the word permanent means? Did you think Ole Miss was going to suck forever before Kiffin? UTk is a johnny come lately, them being a permanent rival and therefore not making room for LSU is stupid because they very well could suck in a few years and probably will.

Oh….I guess that means SMU is a better football program than every school that didn’t make the playoffs last year….are you 12?

But it wouldnt be permanent anything. It would be your team on a rotating schedule based on results. Odds are you will play the same teams two years in a row it will not be based on someone’s notion that that’s your permanent foe or something. At least there would be a a verifiable reason for every teams schedule.
