I doubt it. I don't see Fields helping us get past LSU or Bama in the last two National Championships even if we were fortunate enough to have made it. That LSU team is one of the most complete teams I've seen in my lifetime, and Bama, well it's Bama.

Out of curiosity who is favored to win the SEC this year? Bama.

Since 2014 Bama has won the SEC every year except in 2017 (UGA) and 2019 (LSU).

So what your really saying is this is the year to beat Bama. Well, we’ve tried and lost in heartbreaking fashion twice. Perhaps this is the year, but Bama still has the better overall roster. Can’t find the link but I believe I saw where Bama would be favored by 10 points at a neutral field.

That’s simply not true.

Oh it’s true, very rarely do coaches win a National title after 6 years at a school

There's your problem!

Richt was only one year away from winning it all. Y'all fired him way too early!

Do what?

He was gonna win a NC in 2016 with a team that had grand total of one player drafted? (6th rd KR)

And that LSU team had to beat Bama. Bama didn’t have another Bama quality team to get through last year. Even Clemson was lack luster. So lack luster they got their arse kicked before they could play Bama.

Yeah I know. More greatest team ever arguments. Let’s derail

I don't think UGA can win a natty because JT Daniels isn't the great white hope all the UGA fans perceive him as being. As I see a few chinks in his armor.

For instance, when he is rushed he loses his form and when he losses his form, he becomes very inaccurate and very prone to throwing interceptions. So the elite teams that can rush the passer will inevitably give UGA fits, if not beat them.

Moreover, his long ball sucks and is highly inaccurate.

Indeed, I don't think he is a good enough QB to win a natty.

Georgia is not going to win a NC with bowl cut. He's still trying to be 2011 Saban

He’s purchased good talent, but can’t put them in position to win it all. The players see him for what he is, a plantation owner.

Ed O has a title and Kirby doesn’t so there’s that.

Tell me you only watched the Cincinnati game without telling me you only watched the Cincinnati game

He was the highest rated QB under pressure last year.

It wasn’t great against Cincinnati. But he was elite on the long ball against Mississippi St and Mizzou. But you wouldn’t know that, because you only watched the Cincy game

Mississippi St had a good defense. They gave up 240 passing YPG on the season and 401 to Daniels.
