Very well could be. The voters may feel they want to teach him a lesson in humility quite frankly.
This could be the case. Frankly he needs one but not by this IMO. It is the best player in college football right. JFF is ATM. But looking at A&M without him is going to really bring their fanbase back down to the reality of their existence. ESP in the SEC west.

Probably right, he'll blow the doors off the LSU d on national TV.
The way LSU has struggled on D so far I'm worried you might be right.
it is still early in the year so we'll see. And obviously JFF is the frontrunner but IMO people are desperate for a reason to choose someone other than JFF from the FSEC. Is that unfair? Sure. But the way the Heisman is given out is pretty much always unfair IMO.
If there's another JFF incident of some sort or a plausible player from something like tOSU or Oregon emerges I dunno if JFF wins even if he deserves to on the basis of on the field play this time around.

LSU has the offense to compensate. Will be another shootout.

But I think the fact of the matter is, it wont be about on the field play only. The antics displayed by the media in the off season doomed his Heisman run this year.

We're recruiting at an unprecedented level. We won't be as good at the QB position obviously, but we'll be better at damn near everything else.

If Paul Finebaum, the guy who piloted the JFF bash wagon this offseason, can admit that Johnny has his vote, he certainly has a viable shot.

While he's not Manziel (who is?) Kyle Allen looks really really good. I'm not at all concerned about A&M's future at QB...

Matt Joeckel has looked pretty good.

A young man from Allen may very well outdo Johnny Manziel's HS stats. He's already ahead of Manziel's JUNIOR YEAR stats.

Heisman Pundit has him leading. Someone else will have to knock him off or he will have to falter imo. If A&M wins out he will be very hard to beat.
Gurley was making a case, but he has to stay healthy. LSU would have been fricked had he played that whole game.

You really should try looking around at the rest of CFB in this regard. WAYYY more flops from the HS ranks top ranked or not at QB than successes....you're showing deep ignorance if you think it's a sure thing with Kyle Allen.

And if we were bringing in a 3* at QB, you would be saying how fricked we are because we aren't bringing in any quality replacements
