O.J. Simpson completely invalidates that argument, as does Reggie Bush

I think the question was about Johnny Manziel??? And its not an argument, that's from the Heisman board.

What about JFF's play this year makes you think he doesn't qualify under the second sentence?

Second sentence. First one doesn't count?

That in itself should take Manziel out of Heisman.

So, Johnny might deserve it if the defense played better?

I'm not necessarily disputing the first sentence. Not right now at least.

I'm asking you to explain why he doesn't qualify under the second sentence based on what you've seen this year.

No, I think he's saying JFF might deserve it if he played defense.

If you got to pick from all CFB players to start your team and you got first pick - who would you pick? Thats your Heisman.

Don't really know about the hard work. He's quick and small...nimble. Has good receivers, therefore puts up big numbers. Not saying he isn't good by any means, but he's a natural born athlete.

My point is, average joe can see through this kid and know what he's about.

Just like the average Joe said JFF would have a sophomore slump? That instead of putting in the work all he did was party?

The average Joe is the guy who cleaned the fodder trough ESPN kept full all offseason. Of course the average Joe would hold such an opinion.

That's why he's just average.

Archie Manning - told yall all along

#1 SEC all time SEC performance A. Manning

now #1 JFF
#2 Jff
#3 Jff
#4 JFF

He mad. He could have covered for him. The voters will relieve him team mates love him and he is the best player ever to playthe college game. Maybe if ELI had some decent parenting and didn't party all night at old miss he might have one one - but he stayed out too late. Ols man Manning mad. Living in NOLA and dealing with the LSU fest. He mad.

JFF Best QB EVER.

People are going to rag on Manziel no matter what he does. Might as well raise the middle finger and laugh all the way to the bank, because he's about to get paid by some NFL team.

I wanted to see Gurley win it this time around, but he's been injured too much. Murray is doing well enough to justify him being in the discussion though.

I believe the answer has already been mentioned. He will not win it twice simply because of the off-the -field stuff. Turns out showing your arse in public disrespects the honor associated with the trophy along with all the previous winners who chose not to show their arse. They chose to embrace something larger than themselves, which JFF is incapable of doing.
Maybe not so much because of disrespect, but imaturity or intelligence maybe, IDK. Personally I think he's still the best player in CFB. Manziel to Evans is a force.

There's no way he's not the frontrunner right now after the Alabama game.

Heisman Pundit has him leading. Someone else will have to knock him off or he will have to falter imo. If A&M wins out he will be very hard to beat.

Maybe Oklahoma 60, Texas Tech 15 had something to do with it...plus the 5 losses that year.

Baylor was blown out by A&M when RG3 won the Heisman and the 5 losses seems like a silly argument if the award is an individual award rather than a team award.

I think it comes down to how he plays in the biggest TV games remaining... which is probably the LSU game cause I don't see much else on teh schedule for A&M

You people need to stop.

There is nothing average about this kid. He is a once in a generation talent. He elevates his entire team with his elusiveness, pocket presence, and instinct.

He has excelled against the best in the nation, against all comers, and will do so on the next level.

Sorry haters, including OLD Farts on the Heisman voting committee, those who know, KNOW.

Yep, torching the Sooners and Horns is what won RG3 the Heisman. He did the same to A&M despite the loss, but it was early enough to not hurt his chances. It also didn't change the fact that he was the best player in CFB. I was at that game against Baylor, and it was easily one of the best performances i've seen. A bit of a pussy, but still awesome.
