If a guy is playing not to get hurt who we are paying a fortune then it's not turning on him. He is being selfish at the detriment to our team.

It's not about who's better. It's about sending a message to not only Nico but the entire team.
If you aren't willing to give 110 percent you can sit the bench. I don't care if you are a future tom brady. At Tennessee you better damn well give it your ALL
If everyone has that mindset on our team no one can stop us.
That's what Saban is GOAT. He demanded excellence every single play.

Nico is and was vastly overhyped. He lacks in accuracy and is built like a stork. He knows he is one take off and run away from being broken like a twig off a dead branch.

To be fair he was missing his two best wideouts most of the game and the online shite the bed.
I remember Nate Peterson looked absolutely awful his first few games as a freshman for us then transferred to Pitt and went on to be a Heisman front runner so I'm withholding judgement. He can definitely throw the ball way more accurate than he showed on Saturday night...the oline and WR situation threw the entire offense out of rhythm.

A couple weeks later...

It’s year 4. Tennessee has looked like a better than Average, slightly good not great team under Heupel. Pretending some Eureka moment is on the horizon is a good way to keep yourself busy.
He’s averaging 9-4 per season. Would you like to know why? Bc he’s a slightly better than average good not great coach. The end.
