I wouldn't trade Kelly or our other two QBs for Harris. Harris may end up being the 6th best starting QB in the West

Look, I think Brandon Harris can be good. He would be an Aggie if Kyle Allen didn't commit, and that's a fact. Our coaching staff was really high on him. But realistically, what's his ceiling? As a senior, after honing his craft, after fulfilling his potential, he's not an All-American, he's probably not even All-SEC. He's just not a special kind of player.
How the he'll go you know?! Some people on here....dear lord.

So, he's good enough to be a season changer, but not good enough to be clearly better than Anthony Jennings. Yeah, that makes sense.
You don't choose a QB right now even if you are sure of who is better. You let them battle to the bitter end. Why is Towles in a competition Barker? Why is Kelly in a competition with Buchanan? Why is Lambert even in the competition for UGA's starting QB? It's pretty simple, to push the other guy to make him better. Meyer is doing the same thing with Barrett and Cardele.
Furthermore, if Johnson was the second coming of Cam Newton, why couldn't he beat out a former QB turned DB turned QB now back to DB, 2 years straight?
Inquiring minds.

No, they say Harris would be at Auburn if Jeremy Johnson didn't commit. Which is funny, because we finished 2nd for Johnson. We wanted both.
Well. After Kyle Allen committed, Brandon Harris was devastated and told Aggie recruiting services that he couldn't picture himself anywhere other than A&M and committed to LSU sometime later. So I don't know what to tell you. Post-Manziel's Heisman, QBs like Brandon Harris were infatuated with us, and LSU has had a QB problem for a decade. So you can believe what you want, but I'll believe the many interviews with Brandon Harris during and after his recruitment.

I've watched him play?

Brandon was/is a huge Manziel fan. Cam Cameron had to steer him away from his love for A&M and convince him to be a pro-style QB. He'll be a better QB coming out of LSU than he would've been at A&M.

He's the savior but can't be named yet?
Odd logic me thinks

lsufan doesn't concern themselves with such trifling issues as "logic," Sao

Kyle Allen is severely overrated. If BH played at A&M last year, he would've been up for a Heisman.
According to swamp kittens, y'all have much better receivers and a much better offensive line than what A&M has. On top of that, our non-existent running game leads to defenses not respecting the run at all and completely playing against the pass, where as defensing trying to stop LSU are playing the run every snap. Do tell how Brandon Harris had every advantage imaginable, only completed 55% of his passes? That's so terrible, it's laughable. He had the "best WRs, better than A&M", an "amazing offensive line, better than A&M", and "the best run game, better than A&M"... so tell me... with all those advantages why can't he hit the broad side of a barn? Y'all have gone so far as to claim he's the most talented QB in the conference. The delusion is astronomical, you'd think it was emanating from Tuscaloosa.

He might not be good enough to start, but if he starts then he is real good. Makes sense

So a guy who can barely beat out Anthony Jennings is the savior of LSU football?
Posted on 8/15/15 at 2:38 pm to Tds & Beer
Unless injured, there's a 0% chance he doesn't start. The "competition" is a mere formality.
But don't let that detract from whatever narrative is bringing you false hope.

Nobody is afraid of Brandon Harris right now. He needs to prove himself playing against live bullets.

Kinda like how the guy who couldn't beat out Kenny Trill is Aggy's savior.
