To be the best you need to be rank high in O and D and they weren’t.

Maybe they are considered one of the best O’s ever

And yet, LSU still won by more points, on average, than UGA has this year.

Weird.

31st nationally in scoring defense
31st nationally in total defense

Was it elite? No. Was it shitty? Also no

They played well when they needed to. When you're #1 in scoring offense and total offense, a 31st ranked defense is just fine. Their avg margin of victory for the 2019 season is better than UGA's this season

UGA couldn't really stop Ohio State. What do you think 19 Lsu would do you this team?

Geargia 2021 was better than this year's team.

Geargia 2022 lacks a great secondary and the coaching of the defense is not as good.

It is like Alabama 2019 is far better than the 2020 team, but sometimes the breaks go the other way.

Without the 2020 covid year, the 2020 Bama was a long way from fighting a 15-game road to the championship.

Geargia is no doubt the best overall coached team in college football right now.

Greg achievement but neither team was remotely good as the 2019 LSU best team in history!

Good luck tonight GEAUX SEC

InsecureSU always comes out in force when their special team is threatened.

They almost lost to Mizzou, Kentucky,

We almost lost to Kentucky? When was that? It was close...but come on. It was 16-0 before they scored and they never came close than 2 possessions.

Didn't play Bama.

So now Bama is great? How about if we beat the two teams that beat Bama?

quote:

Would have lost to the buckeyes if they had a kicker.

Would have beaten Ohio State worse if our kicker had not missed. And he is usually automatic.

But fair enough. Let's turn your logic around on you.

You almost got beat by Texas, gave up 38 points to Vanderbilt, and Auburn and Alabama almost beat you.

Now, I'm not sold we are better than 2019 LSU. They are dumb arguments that can't be proven either way. But, crap, dude. The same arguments can be used against LSU. The only difference is LSU is your favorite team.

2019 LSU didn't need any luck.

The Bama game? Where LSU never trailed, led by 20 at half, led by 12 at the start of the 4th, led by 12 with 4 minutes to play, and knelt on the ball to ice the game?

Don't let the mouth breathers from Tuscaloosa make you forget how lopsided that game actually was.

The only luck in that game was Bama not losing by 3 scores.

ETA: Only on this board would LSU be "lucky" to win a game they never trailed in, and led by 12 points with 1:37 left to play.

At no point during the 2019 season did LSU have to rely on the opposing team to miss a FG kick to win the game.

Give up 38 points to Vandy (3-9 on the season with the worst scoring offense in the SEC).

That's what the goat does?

Vandy's offense only scored 24

LSU beat Oklahoma. Oklahoma finished #7 in the polls in 2019.

Yeah...because Burrow and Co. proceeded to demolish them so thoroughly they looked like mincemeat when they were done. They were throughly beat by halftime. They could have brought a fresh team out and LSU would have trounced them again.

The 2019 squad was just that good. Burrow and Co we're generational athletes and continue to prove it in the NFL

Call me when Georgia's talent is good enough to go 15-0 with Ed Orgeron at the helm.

You just gave up 500+ passing yards to an injured running quarterback and a redshirt freshman

Imagine what Burrow, Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, Moss and CEH would do
