With the obligatory cupcake OOC games, Clemson would be guaranteed 7 wins before they played the top 2 or 3 teams in either division, so probably 9 or 10 wins every year with an 11 win season now and then. That's how Georgia, Florida, Auburn, and LSU do it nearly every year.

SEC rivalries have a way of being entertaining regardless of the teams records. Nearly half their schedule would be competitive games. Almost 2 guaranteed losses every year. That isn’t even remotely comparable to their current schedule. The lowest SEC teams would more than likely run the ACC table if Clemson wasn’t in the ACC.

So, would this be bumping up the SEC to 15 (or more), or replacing somebody?

Swap for Mizzou. Or add Clemson and Fl State ? This would be in a perfect world. I already know, highly unlikely.

I think he lost to Auburn in 2010, beat us in 2011,2012,2016 and 2017.
He’s even with Alabama at 2-2.
Seems like he beat USC several times.
Beat LSU in Peach bowl.

Cool, now do all of that in one season, every season.

Sigh...What happened to the SEC adage that “Metal sharpens Metal”...somehow Clemson does OK sharpening against balsa wood.

He’s a good coach.
He was actually not a good coach. He meddled in the play calling early in his tenure and decided to hire great assistants and take a hands off approach and instead take credit for what his assistants do.He was smart to do that...but he is more of a CEO than a coach...that's why they are good. He delegates but he sucks up the praise...lol...I wish Muschamp could learn to do that.

FSU should’ve been the last schools added to the SEC. They already have rivals in the SEC, along with big football programs within the actual South East United States.

when in the holy hell did the state of florida become part of the south?

Since there’s a lot of Clemson posters here with SEC penis envy, figured I would give this a go.

Won’t ever happen , but with the amount of whining Dabo does, I could see him campaigning to move to a more respected conference. On the other hand, a part of me thinks he wouldn’t want to give up his high school schedule and actually play a grueling SEC schedule. All his talk is for show, and player motivation. I can’t help but think they would fall into irrelevancy within a few years of joining and recruiting against the cream of the crop. They would put together a few good seasons and maybe make it to Atlanta a time or two, especially if they were in the east. They give me a real SJW Missouri vibe. I would be fine with a 1 for 1 swap with Mizzou, or even A&M. Let’s be honest, they bring the conference down.

Clemson has everything they need to compete and WIN at the highest level in the ACC. Also, it's a founding member of the conference and that has some significance.

The NFL is full of Clemson players that are competing at the highest level, our recruiting is among the best in the nation, we have one of the best football operation facilities in the nation...With the launch of the ACC network, the League is going to bring in more money that in a few year will be significant.

Aside from making a few extra dollars there is nothing the SEC can offer Clemson that they don't have in the ACC.

Maybe if the 2 SEC schools that we play every year would actually put up a better showing the SEC trolls could have more fun.

The real question is if you are one of those 7-8 bottom feeder SEC schools that has no chance of ever competing for a divisional title why stay in the SEC? If the ACC is so weak and it gives you "easy" access to championships then it seems to me that you should come into our easy conference and dominate....

It's clear that the "SEC money" that the bottom feeders are making isn't helping. You still suck and always will. Of course there's the "Pride" of being in the SEC...Well we know what "Marcelous Wallace" from "Pulp Fiction" says about pride...

They would be put in the west division and Missouri would go to the east.

Have you ever been to the Florida panhandle? Doesn’t get more Southern. Terrific people live there.

No shite! I was in Pensacola over the Summer and they call it "South Alabama" down there. A lot of "bubba trucks" down there!

Most northerners don’t visit Florida to see the panhandle unless they are military folks stationed there. The best part of northern Florida is Destin Beach. But Florida in general has a lot of environmental problems that their politicians won’t fix. Like vibrio vulnificus in the gulf and toxic neon green algae.
